Holy Zohar text. Daily Zohar -389.

Tikkun 21 – 130

The Zohar tells us that the Shechina is the משכון of YHVH and that is why he dwells within us.
משכון, means pawn, pledge. The root of this word, שכן, means neighbor, dwelling, and Shechina. The understanding is that YHVH will come back for his pawn, pledge, dwelling.

“And let them make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell (שכן) among them”

The Holy Ark and the Torah that is stored in, are the aspect of the dwelling place for YHVH. Every Israelite soul has a root in one of the letters in the Torah. That gives us constant connection to YHVH.

The seven candles of the Candelabra in the Holy Temple represent the seven sefirot. They serve as channels of the light to the Torah and the Shechina in Malchut.

On that it was said Proverb 6:23 “ כִּי נֵר מִצְוָה, וְתוֹרָה אוֹר;”
“For the precept is a candle, and the Torah is light,”

The candle is the vessel, which is Malchut and the Torah is its Light.

When we connect to the Torah with our deep studies, we light our candle.

Holy Zohar text. Daily Zohar -386.

Tikkun 21 – 127

When the time comes, the Vav of Zeir Anpin will be elevated to its original place at the six steps of the Holy throne.

This is expressed with the cantillation of Darga and trei Ta’amei, which is Mercha Kefulah (double)

At that time it will be asked from Israel to bring the טְעַמִּים, means Cantillations and also tasty food. Like when Jacob was asked by Isaac,

“and make me savory food, such as I love, and bring it to me, that I may eat; ”

Isaac was looking to join his father’s right column with his right column as one central column to balance the spiritual system in the world. Before Jacob made his connection, the system was in very fragile state. Prior to that God had to ‘reset’ the system with the Tower of Babel situation and the Flood.

The words עשה לי refer to the positive actions, precepts that we accomplished in our lives.

248 is the numerical value of Abraham and with the 248 positive actions, precepts, we connect to the right column, Chessed.

With the precepts of “you shall not do” we weaken the power of the negativity in the left column.

The final action to unite the left and the right will be done by YHVH. He will remove the final negativity from the left. With our sacrifices, which are the positive actions and the right column, the two columns will join and the Tree of Life will be revealed in complete balance and peace.

Daily Zohar #367 – Don’t wreck your ship

Monday, July 26th, 2010

Holy Zohar text. Daily Zohar -367.

Tikkun 21 – 108

Song of Songs 5:15 “שׁוֹקָיו עַמּוּדֵי שֵׁשׁ, מְיֻסָּדִים עַל-אַדְנֵי-פָז”
“His legs are as pillars of marble (meaning 6 in Hebrew), set upon sockets of fine gold”

“And the spirit of YHVH shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom (1) and understanding (2), the spirit of counsel (3) and might(4), the spirit of knowledge (5) and of the fear of YHVH(6).”

The light comes to the heart through the lungs. The two main chambers of the heart are the candles of the soul. Candle in Hebrew is נר. The two letters are for נפש and רוח, which are the soul levels of Nefesh and Ruach.

The light brings the life force into the body and animates it. This light is represented by the letter Vav ו with numerical value of 6. It moves the 6 joints of the two hands and the 6 joints of the legs.

“Wherever the spirit (Ruach) was going, they went; they do not turn when they walk.”

All parts of the body follow this light. The spirit, which is the Ruach of the soul, guides us traveling in many directions. Ruach means “wind” in Hebrew and like the wind pushes the ship on the water, that is how we move in life. The ship in whole is the aspect of the mind, heart and body that navigate the ship.

When we are connected to the Ruach, we have easy sail in life but if we go against it we experience hardship and situations that can break our vessel.

In the previous Daily Zohar we explained the story of Jonah. When he tried to run away from his job in life avoiding the guidance of the light, the ship that carried him almost broke. (Jonah 1:4)

Daily Zohar #336 – We can remove the dark curtains

Saturday, June 19th, 2010

Holy Zohar text. Daily Zohar -336.

Tikkun 21- 77

“for the candle is precept and the Torah is Light”

H ה – The candle is the action, vessel, Malchut
V ו – The Torah is the Light, Zeir Anpin.
H ה – Love – The top of the first word of the Torah, בראשית, which is the secret of the first sequence of the Ana B’Koach אבגיתץ.
Y י – Awe – The seed and the essence of the Light that sustain existence.

The YH are the concealed levels of Keter, Chokmah and Binah and the VH are the revealed levels, Zeir Anpin (Torah) and Malchut (actions and percepts).

The other side, Sama-el and the Snake, put themselves in the middle, between the concealed and the revealed, to grab the energy we draw from the supernal with our actions. They create “dark skies” that block the light from reaching us.

With our connections to the light by actions and study, we seek to unify the upper YH with the lower VH and create continuous flow of light to remove the ‘dark skies’ forever.

That is why we should start every meditation and action with the consciousness of connecting YH and VH.

This is the Hebrew meditation
“לְשֵׁם יִחוּד קוּדְשָׁא בְּרִיךְ הוּא וּשְׁכִינְתֵּהּ, בִּדְחִילוּ וּרְחִימוּ, וּרְחִימוּ וּדְחִילוּ,
לְיַחֲדָא שֵׁם יוֹ”ד קֵ”י בְּוָא”ו קֵ”י בְּיִחוּדָא שְׁלִים בְּשֵׁם כָּל יִשְֹרָאֵל”

Daily Zohar #325 – Break your heart for a flow of light

Sunday, June 6th, 2010

Holy Zohar text. Daily Zohar -325.

Tikkun 21- 66

The Shofar brings out the sounds of Tekiah, Shevarim and Teruah.
Tekiah carries the consciousness and the aspect of the soul level of Neshama, Shevarim is from the heart, level of Nefesh. Teruah is from the depth of the lungs and the level of Ruach.
The three sounds come together as one channel through the Shofar blowing.

Psalms 51:19
“ זִבְחֵי אֱלֹהִים רוּחַ נִשְׁבָּרָה: לֵב-נִשְׁבָּר וְנִדְכֶּה…”
“The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart”

Psalms 89:16 “אַשְׁרֵי הָעָם, יֹדְעֵי תְרוּעָה” “Happy is the people that know the joyful Teruah”

Ashrei, with the letters ראש י implies to the head of the Tree of Life. Chokmah and Binah from the letter י,
יֹדְעֵי, is for Knowledge, which is the Sefirah of Da’at that is revealed when Chokmah and Binah connect. Da’at creates the bridge from the upper three Sefirot to the lower seven.

When we break the negativity we can have the flow of light coming down all the way from the supernal to us at the level of Malchut.

Daily Zohar #324 – Win over your enemies. Break their stones.

Saturday, June 5th, 2010

Holy Zohar text. Daily Zohar -324.

Recent daily Zohars and some of the future ones deal with the power of the cantillations to draw the light down and break negativity.
It is hard to understand the subject and the terms are sometimes ‘boring’, especially for non-Hebrew reading and speaking people. Don’t get discouraged. Scan the Zohar text in order to connect your soul to the power of the letters and words. Read the commentary and absorb as much as you can get. And as always, feel free to post your questions in the comments section.
- Hide quoted text -

Tikkun 21 – 65

Gershaim, meaning twice Geresh, גרש, has the meaning to send away. First time, God sent the negativity away from heavens and next time He will go after them, take them and put them in, Shalshelet, שלשלת , meaning chains and kill them with the ‘spear’, רומח, represented by the Ravia
Ravia, two Geresh and Shalshelet are the secret of the blowing of the Shofar, Tekiah, Shevarim and Teruah.

The negative side is fed from the light that sustains the whole world. Every action we make draws light. If it is positive it is revealed in our life and if it is negative then is grabbed by the negative and impure system. They are after us, pushing us to make the wrong actions and take the light from us.
The Torah tells us that to protect ourselves from negativity, we should break their “pillars” , “standing stones”.
“…and break in pieces their pillars”
It makes almost no sense when you read the English translation but the secret of מצבה is in the deeper meaning of the word. It has the numerical value of 137, like the word Kabbalah קבלה, literally means “to receive”. Now we can understand that the word relates to connection to the light.
(Few references to the root word נצב as connection to the light; Genesis 24:13, Exodus 17:9, Numbers 23:17, Deuteronomy 29:9, Amos 7:7, Psalms 82:1)
“And Jacob rose up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put under his head, and set it up for a pillar, and poured oil upon the top of it.”

Shevarim, is the tool to use for breaking the connection and ability (מַצֵּבֹתֵיהֶם , pillar / standing stone) of the negative side to receive the light. When they can’t get the light, they die.

Daily Zohar #315 – Win the war. Learn to use “the spear”

Tuesday, May 25th, 2010

Holy Zohar text. Daily Zohar -315.

Tikkun 21 – 56

There are three letters Yod that come from the essence of the supernal light to Chokmah Binah and Da’at.

Numbers 24:21 “וְשִׂים בַּסֶּלַע, קִנֶּךָ” “Put your nest in the rock…”

The Zohar reveals that this is reference to the covenant after the Flood. The rock represents the aspect of the energy of the letters in Malchut.

With the power of the Shema Yisrael prayer, we connect Chokmah, Binah and Daat with the three Yods to the three columns, represented by three Vavs ווו = 18 in balance. The three Yods are the seed of the three columns and each represent complete 10 Sefirot.

With the 248 Hebrew words of the Shema and 6 for the First line, we have 254 which is רמח + ו = רומח, “spear”. This is the tool to remove negativity from the connection and create balance.

Lag B’Omer – Rabbi Shimon’s deepest secrets revealed

Thursday, April 29th, 2010

This article is an introduction to the Idra Zuta. A holy section of the Zohar that describe the last day of Rabbi Shimon on earth.
He planned his departure from this world to the detail. He created for us a door to the supernal and left us the key to open that door.

There are many parts of this article that may be difficult to understand for a person who is new to Kabbalah and the Zohar. But the more you repeat reading, it will get clearer and more importantly, it will be part of your soul.

The special event called Lag B’Omer or the thirty third day of the Omer is the death anniversary of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai. It is not a simple holiday. It is a day when the gates of heavens are open. Make an effort to celebrate this night and day with people with the same consciousness.

The following article is not an easy reading. It’s not too short but together with the Idra Zuta it is the best way to connect on Lag B’Omer. I highly recommend you to read it and share this document with all your friends.

The Idra Zuta, meaning small assembly, is a section of the Zohar, found inside the portion of Ha’azinu. Last year I wrote a commentary to Haazinu and started revealing the connection between Rabbi Shimon, Moshe, Haazinu and the Idra Zuta. I had mentioned there that the parasha is considered as the song of Moses. It is written in the Torah in a very unique way and the style is also different. The whole song is written on two special columns, which are split into two, each to become 4 columns of text.
Before the song starts we have 6 regular lines of Torah text, then 35 lines split into two columns then on the next Torah Column we have the reverse image. 35 lines split into two, then 6 regular lines.
I believe that a mathematician will find a lot of secrets just from this unique arrangement of the parasha. Kabbalah sees it as the upper and lower triangles that form the Shield of David. 70 + 70 lines of the song or 35 times 4.
This arrangement also looks like two doors, one opens toward the heavens and one door opens toward earth.
At the top of the column, which we discussed last week, we have the letter Aleph that gave birth to Moses and he keeps it as a key to move between the worlds through the doors that Moses actually created for us.
The letter Aleph is described in Sefer Yetzirah (The Book of Formation) as a Mother letter, together with Mem and Shin.

In the parasha we find a very unique word in the Hebrew language that has only one letter, which is the letter/word ‘He’. It appears as a large letter, which means that it connects to the level of Binah. The reader of the Torah should read it as a separate word and not connect it to the next word as it is normally read.

This letter appears twice in the Tetragramaton, one time for Binah and one time for Malchut. Here, it tells us how Moses connected the upper and the lower, like at the beginning of the songs by calling upon heaven and earth to listen to his song and with that he created the necessary gates for us and for himself. As I explained in previous commentaries, he will come back. He has the key and the gates.

Last point I want to share with you is that in the Zohar portion of Haazinu, we find a special section called “Idra Zuta”. In this part Rabbi Shimon reveals the secrets of Zeir Anpin (six sefirot of Chessed, Gevurah, Tiferet, Netzach, Hod and Yesod) and the connection to the final Tikkun. Also in the Idra Zuta,Rabbi Shimon is leaving the world and his departure is described in details.

Why is the Idra Zuta placed inside Zohar Haazinu?

The Ari, tells us that Rabbi Shimon had a spark of the soul of Moses. He came to the world to reveal the Zohar, in order to support the Shechina on the days before revelation of Mashiach and to give us a powerful tool of connection and protection.

The Zohar and Rabbi Shimon are directing us to the gates that lead to Zeir Anpin, the “Light”.
Moshe and Rabbi Shimon shared a mission. Just before he passed away, Moshe created the gate in the Torah at the level of Zeir Anpin. Rabbi Shimon created the parallel gate at the level of Malchut with the seventy Tikunei Zohar.
Moshe opened his song in Haazinu with “Give ear, O heavens, and I will speak; and let the earth hear the words of my mouth” (Deuteronomy 32:1)

Rabbi Shimon opened his revelations of the Idra Zuta with “I will speak alone. All will listen to my words, uppers and lowers.”
The last paragraph of Zohar Haazinu, just before the Idra Zuta, says “When Moshe said “Give ear O heavens…” the worlds shook and a voice said Moshe Moshe why are you shaking the whole world, you are only human, and because of you the world is shaking. Moshe answered “Because I call with the name of God” (Deuteronomy 32:3). At that moment they became silent and listened to his words.
As you will read in the Idra below, Rabbi Shimon started his revelations with the gates of heavens opened in the presence of the Shechinah (The female aspect of the God in Malchut) and seventy righteous souls from the highest level of the Graden of Eden.
The Tikunei Zohar is the key to the gates created for us by Moshe and Rabbi Shimon. The Zohar testifies to that in the section of Naso, “Because the Israelites will taste from the Tree of Life, which is this book of the Zohar, they will go out of exile with mercy”.
Read the Idra Zuta to connect to the heavenly gates, especially on the day of Lag B’Omer. The more people use the key of Tikunei Zohar, the better are our chances to open the supernal gates and flood our existence with the upper light that will remove all darkness from the world.

If you read so far you are a person that cares, you are spiritual and understand the value of spiritual tools. Connecting to spiritual tools and care for others are the keys to spiritual change on a personal and global level.
The Daily Zohar project (http://DailyZohar.com) is such a tool. It gives free access to the Seventy Tikune Zohar to all people that wish to open the gates and make positive change in the world.

Reading the Idra Zuta help us understand the process of opening the heavenly gates.

Daily Zohar #289 – The circle of Holidays

Thursday, April 22nd, 2010

Holy Zohar text. Daily Zohar -289.

Tikkun 21 – 30

Shabbat is built from the letter Shin, that represents the three columns and the three patriarchs. בת, means daughter.
Shabbat is the daughter of Binah and she receives its energy with the prayers of Shabbat. It is the time when the daughter, which is Malchut, is at the level of Binah and able to draw light for the whole week.

The availability of the light in Shabbat is like the time of the ten days between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippurim. Those days are at an elevated state that lead to Yom Kupur, when we have 5 prayers to receive the Binah light for the whole year.
Isaiah 40:22 “היושב על חוג הארץ” “He who sits on the circle of the earth”. This verse tells us that the Light is spread like a circle around Malchut and there is a proper and best time to connect and draw a specific light.

Daily Zohar #286 – Leaning upon her beloved

Monday, April 19th, 2010

Holy Zohar text. Daily Zohar -286.

Tikkun 21 – 27

The prayers are considered as sacrifices, which in Hebrew is called in two names, קרבן and עולה, literal meaning , closeness and elevation.
The words of the prayer elevate Malchut in the aspect of the name ADNY אדני to the name YHVH יהוה. This creates the unification of the two names as יאהדונהי and allows flow of the light to Malchut.

In Song of Songs 8:5 we read “מִי זֹאת, עֹלָה מִן-הַמִּדְבָּר,” “Who is this that come up from the wilderness, leaning upon her beloved? Under the apple-tree I awakened thee…”. The word wilderness has the same letters as מדבר, meaning the one that speaks. The praise here is for the prayer that ascends and makes a unification, to bring birth to a new light.
The words we use in our prayers are very important to create the channel to the higher levels.

The Hebrew words created the world and built the paths between the Sefirot. To climb up we need to use the letters.
If you do not read Hebrew, then scan the sacred text to make it a vehicle for your prayer. The eyes are at the level of Chokmah and with the words and consciousness we create the necessary force to elevate our prayers.
