Hello:

My name is Phyllis and I love your DailyZohar messages; it makes it easy for me to scan everyday with my busy schedule.

However, I am curious and wanted to put this question out there for your observation and possible later comment.

When I first received my personal Zohar book set I would try and scan them daily. After the first week one of my co-workers asked me, "What are you doing, your face is glowing?" Now, I almost never scan from the books, only scanning from your Daily Zohar messages when I perform my morning prayers.

I know there are countless reasons why my face should glow or not glow and it cannot be proven to be the Zohar scanning.

It just seems that after a week for someone to come and say that to me was usual and my first thought was the Zohar.

I am wondering if there is a difference between electronic scanning vs. book scanning. If it is so important for the (is it Rabbis who draw them for mezuzah or torah, I'm not of the Jewish faith) forming of the letters to be perfect for their power to be correct, to be revealed, then is the fact that electronic writing is just dots, pixels, a problem? The actual lines are not connecting lines? Do you know what I mean?

Do you scan both print and electronic? Maybe some of us should test to see if we can discern the difference. No matter what, the Daily Zohar is wonderful and the commentary well worth reading. I admit I do not understand all of it, but in time I hope too.

I did not post this publicly because I did not want to influence peoples' use of your daily message.

Sincerely,

Book or eBook?

Everything that we touch is affected by our energy, for positive or negative. This is the reason why we get attached to things that remind us positive memories and experiences. It’s the energy of the moment that we connect to. Whatever we do and wherever we go we leave a signature of our energy.

Whatever we see with our eyes absorbed internally and affect us spiritually and physically. It can lifts our spirit and energy or makes us terribly sick.
When we scan or read the sacred text we activate its inner energy and bring it into our lives. As a material channel, it retains the energy of our consciousness when we use it.

There are two aspects, one is the effect on us and the other is on the object or place.
The electronic device holds the energy of all of its experiences. The book is a dedicated channel, focused on the Zohar and its own spiritual energy. The more we use it for scanning, reading and studying it accumulates more of the same energy. Always respect the book and avoid leaving it on the floor.
When a sacred book is far from reach, it can’t help us much but if we have a digital replacement that can ‘feed’ us the energy, then it is better.

The Daily Zohar was created initially on the idea of giving people access to the Zohar on the daily basis. Most people buy the Zohar and rarely open it for reading or scanning. I didn’t even think about writing commentaries because the important connection is ‘sucking’ the sacred text into our mind and sub consciousness. The logical mind needs its share so I added the translation and commentaries to ‘magnify’ the Zohar experience. The Doctor can prescribe a pill but it will works ‘better’ when it comes with explanation.

–

Tikkun 21 – 111

(Continuing previous Daily Zohar subject)

Jonah 1:13
“ וַיַּחְתְּרוּ הָאֲנָשִׁים, לְהָשִׁיב אֶל-הַיַּבָּשָׁה–וְלֹא יָכֹלוּ: כִּי הַיָּם, הוֹלֵךְ וְסֹעֵר עֲלֵיהֶם.”
“The men rowed hard to bring it to the land; but they could not; for the sea grew more and more tempestuous against them.”

When we experience chaos, we can try to fix it ourselves but while we are in the midst of judgment process we can only draw more judgments. The people on the ship tried to go back to the state/land before the sea turned on them but it didn’t help.
The only way to go above physical matters is by connecting to the light.

The ship’s captain then told Jonah to make a connection to his Light.
Jonah 1:6
“וַיִּקְרַב אֵלָיו רַב הַחֹבֵל, וַיֹּאמֶר לוֹ מַה-לְּךָ נִרְדָּם; קוּם, קְרָא אֶל-אֱלֹהֶיךָ–אוּלַי יִתְעַשֵּׁת הָאֱלֹהִים לָנוּ, וְלֹא נֹאבֵד”
“So the shipmaster came to him, and said unto him: Why are you sleeping? Arise, call upon your God, so he will restore everything to normal and we will not perish.”

The Zohar refers to the Talmud, tractate ‘Avot’, where it is said “look at three things and you will not come to a point of disconnection from the light”. The three things are; look where you came from, look where you are going and look to the future when you will stand in front of the Creator that will ‘judge’ your soul.

The idea behind this teaching is to understand that the only thing that is important in life is the soul.

Our soul came into a matter and we grew up from a single cell that represents our desire for the self.

Our body is temporary and will end up with no existence in this world.

Our soul is immortal and our actions will determine its level of purity. When the soul leaves the body it will go through a painful process of cleansing that will remove negativity gathered in this world.

–

Tikkun 21 – 110

The captain of the ship in Jonah’s story represents judgments that take control when the light is not present. The Hebrew word for ship’s captain is רב חובל. It has the same root word חבל, as חבלן, meaning the one that sabotages and causes damage. It turns good into bad. It is also חבל, which means rope, a tool that can be used to tie and connect together separate items.

When judgments come to us they awaken us to see the cause of the chaos that comes our ways. Then we have the choice to reconnect to our inner light and get out of the situation or sink the ship.

The pain is our tool and reminder to connect to the light that can ease and remove all pain. Since we are in a TEMPOrary world where time rules, then the removal of pain takes time. Without the light we can not remove it.

“As an eagle that stir up her nest, hover over her young,”

Jerusalem is the nest and the aspect of the global vessel. Like the chicks in the nest, we are the habitants of the dark world, Malchut. We need to stay connected to the light and open our personal vessel for the mother eagle to feed us.

The Zohar reveals to us that this light and protection comes to us on Shabbat and Holidays. In order to connect to it, we have a special blessing and a song “וּפְרֹלֵינוּ סֻכַּתס עָ”.

“Blessed are you YHVH that spreads protection and peace over our heads and over all Israelites.”

–

Tikkun 21 – 109
(Continue the subject from Daily Zohar 366,367)

When Jonah avoided the light and the guidance of his Ruach, he caused a disconnection between his soul level of Nefesh and the level of Ruach. It is described in Jonah 1:5 “וְיוֹנָה, יָרַד אֶל-יַרְכְּתֵי הַסְּפִינָה, וַיִּשְׁכַּב, וַיֵּרָדַם”
“Jonah was gone down into the innermost parts of the ship; and he lay, and was fast asleep”

Jonah fell into darkness when his Ruach left his body. His candle נר, which are the Nefesh and Ruach levels as described previously, was broken and he was left without guidance. When the R ר for Ruach left, the N for Nefesh stayed. The N represents a falling state.

Many of us experience ‘falling’ of the body just before going into sleep. When the soul leaves the body for the night sleep and the body is not ready to let go of it, the separation of the body and soul creates a feeling of falling and a fear of death.

In the book of Lamentation that we read on the ninth of Av we find the same feeling that Jonah experienced when his Light, the Ruach, left him.

“How does the city sit solitary that was full of people? How doeshe become as a widow! She that was great among the nations, and princess among the provinces, how does she become tributary!”

Before the destruction of the Holy Temple we enjoyed the guidance and protection of the Light. Without the Holy Temple, we fell into darkness and loneliness like a widow, which represents the vessel for us, left without the support of her husband, the light.

–

Tikkun 21 – 108

Song of Songs 5:15 “שׁוֹקָיו עַמּוּדֵי שֵׁשׁ, מְיֻסָּדִים עַל-אַדְנֵי-פָז”
“His legs are as pillars of marble (meaning 6 in Hebrew), set upon sockets of fine gold”

“And the spirit of YHVH shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom (1) and understanding (2), the spirit of counsel (3) and might(4), the spirit of knowledge (5) and of the fear of YHVH(6).”

The light comes to the heart through the lungs. The two main chambers of the heart are the candles of the soul. Candle in Hebrew is נר. The two letters are for נפש and רוח, which are the soul levels of Nefesh and Ruach.

The light brings the life force into the body and animates it. This light is represented by the letter Vav ו with numerical value of 6. It moves the 6 joints of the two hands and the 6 joints of the legs.

“Wherever the spirit (Ruach) was going, they went; they do not turn when they walk.”

All parts of the body follow this light. The spirit, which is the Ruach of the soul, guides us traveling in many directions. Ruach means “wind” in Hebrew and like the wind pushes the ship on the water, that is how we move in life. The ship in whole is the aspect of the mind, heart and body that navigate the ship.

When we are connected to the Ruach, we have easy sail in life but if we go against it we experience hardship and situations that can break our vessel.

In the previous Daily Zohar we explained the story of Jonah. When he tried to run away from his job in life avoiding the guidance of the light, the ship that carried him almost broke. (Jonah 1:4)

–

Tikkun 21 – 107

When we are not drawing the light from below, the spirit, Ruach רוח, of God comes down with judgment as it is said in Jonah 1:4 “ וַיהוָה, הֵטִיל רוּחַ-גְּדוֹלָה אֶל-הַיָּם, וַיְהִי סַעַר-גָּדוֹל, בַּיָּם; וְהָאֳנִיָּה, חִשְּׁבָה לְהִשָּׁבֵר”
“But YHVH hurled a great wind into the sea, and there was a mighty storm in the sea, and the ship was about to be broken”

The story of Jonah is analogy to the process of the soul in life. Jonah didn’t want to follow his mission and YHVH was ‘upset’. (It is only in our perception but YHVH is NEVER upset)

If a ship or a marine vessel appears in your dreams, it represents your soul. The size and beauty of the ship reveals the current state of your soul. If you see yourself entering a big ship it means that you received or will receive added light and protection in the future.

When we don’t follow our work in life, it brings judgment on us. When we are ready with our vessel for the light to come in, it enters in balance and if we are not, then the light that is intended to support our work goes to the Klipa, which is the negative side.

Our preparation for the light should take place on all three levels of the soul, Nefesh, Ruah and Neshamah. With our thoughts and mind we are open for the light to come and guide us and that is the level of Neshama. In our hearts, which is the soul level of Ruach, we receive the guidance on how to make the action. With our body we finalize the action and this is the level of Nefesh.

Our spiritual connections and continuous study prepare our vessel for the light to come in balance. It keeps our mind and heart in purity and our actions bring only good outcome to our tikkun process.

–

Tikkun 21 – 106

The candle of the other side is dark and has three colors. Red is for the liver and the aspect of male judgment. Green is for the Spleen and female judgment. Black is for the Bile.

The Zohar tells us that the body is like the ship that carries the soul in its path in life. The blood that circulates in the body binds the soul to the body and the processed that goes through the Liver, spleen and bile represent the hardship in life.

The head is the leader with 7 openings to the outside. Two eyes, Two ears, Two nostrils and a mouth.

Inside the body, which is considered a complete world, we have the liver with 70 veins.
The head and the blood system depend on each other. The head connects us to the source of life and the liver and its supporting spleen and bile keep the connection of the soul and body together.

The Hebrew word for Liver is כבד and the word for gravity force is called כח כבידה, both have the same root.

When our actions are pure and no negativity is injected into the blood system, the liver has no hold on our soul. That purity state can ‘free’ the soul from physical limitation and gives us the power to make space travel,קפיצת הדרך with our thought and spiritual powers.

Unfortunately even the air we breath and the water we drink is contaminated with negative energies so achieving this ability requires complete righteousness and purity of the heart.

Tikkun 21 – 105

“Happy are the people that know the joyful Teruah. They will walk in the inner light of YHVH”

Among the sounds of the Shofar, Tekiah is for the right column and the color white. Shevarim is the left column and the color red. Teruah is the central column and the color green.
These three reveal and connect to the inner light of YHVH.

Before the world was created, a simple light filled up the whole existence (as described by the Ari in the book ‘Tree of Life’).
During the process the light condensed itself to create three channels and the first level was a change in the vibration of the light to form the colors white, red and green.
The green color brought about the souls.
The Zohar describes it as creating the candle of the soul.

Adam was formed from these lights and the aspect of the name that represents Zeir Anpin יוד הא ואו הא, which has the numerical value of 45, same as Adam, אדם.

Tikkun 21 – 104

The air that we breathe comes through the mouth and nose, which are openings in the head. This means that our life and existence come from and depend on the head.
The two wings of the lungs take in the air and absorb the light of Charades. This light then gets transferred to the heart that rests between the two wings of the lung.

The lungs and the heart are both in the upper part of the torso which is the aspect of Tiferet and the central column.

The blood contains element of judgment and the heart generates heat in the body while circulating it. The lungs act like a radiator in a cooling system and the light of Chassadim protects the heart and brings balance to it.

The Liver and spleen that hold the negativity in the body are located below the diaphragm to separate them between pure and impure systems.
The lungs with the light of Chassadim help the heart to disconnect from the impure parts of the blood and let the liver hold it.

There are many lessons to learn from this description of the Zohar. Connecting to Chassadim is important for the balance of our soul and a good breathing exercise will balance our heart and body. The meditation should be to absorb the light in the air and to transfer it to the heart.

When breathing be conscious to fully expand your lungs in three steps. First, fill up the upper part of the lungs by pushing the chest up. Second, ribs out to fill the right and left wings. Third, push the belly out to expand the lower level of the lungs.
Hold the air inside for three seconds then release it slowly meditating on keeping the light in. Breath in through the nose (Zeir Anpin) and out through the mouth (Malchut).

Tikkun 21 – 103

When the soul has no blemishes, it is as part of the Shechina.
As it is said in Song of Songs 4:7 “כֻּלָּךְ יָפָה רַעְיָתִי, וּמוּם אֵין בָּךְ.”
“You art all beauty, my darling wife; and there is no blemish in you”

If impurity tries to come closer to a pure soul, it dies
“And the stranger who is coming near is put to death”
The one that is not from the pure side can not come near the holy because the high light will consume his soul.

The Torah police will not take the person to court and execute him because of coming close to the light. It is the impurity that will die and disappear.

Numbers 4:19
“וְזֹאת עֲשׂוּ לָהֶם, וְחָיוּ וְלֹא יָמֻתוּ, בְּגִשְׁתָּם, אֶת-קֹדֶשׁ הַקֳּדָשִׁים: אַהֲרֹן וּבָנָיו, יָבֹאוּ, וְשָׂמוּ אוֹתָם אִישׁ אִישׁ עַל-עֲבֹדָתוֹ, וְאֶל-מַשָּׂאוֹ.”
“But these do to them, and they have lived, and do not die in their drawing nigh the holy of holies: — Aaron and his sons go in, and have set them, each man to his service, and unto his burden,”
Numbers 4:20
“וְלֹא-יָבֹאוּ לִרְאוֹת כְּבַלַּע אֶת-הַקֹּדֶשׁ, וָמֵתוּ”
God gives Moses and Aaron specific instructions on handling the elements of the Holy of Holies in the Tabernacle. The priests will take them down and wrap them before the Levites come to carry them. If they see any part from the Holy of Holies they will be swallowed and die. In this case, the priests and the Holy of Holies are the right column. The Levites are from the Left column and if they see the Holy tools, the high energy of the supernal right column will consume them.

The sin of Adam and Eve happened before they became totally pure with the light of Shabbat. They connected to the Tree of Knowledge Good and Bad and they lost their potential ‘immortality’. The negative side swallowed their light and they found themselves ‘naked’. God told them that if they connect to the other Tree, they will die and that is what happened. They brought mortality on themselves and all the generations that followed.

Isaiah 42:8
“אֲנִי יְהוָה, הוּא שְׁמִי; וּכְבוֹדִי לְאַחֵר לֹא-אֶתֵּן, וּתְהִלָּתִי לַפְּסִילִים”
“I am YHVH, this is my name, And Mine honor to another I give not, nor my praise to graven images.”
The energy of the name YHVH will not pass to impurity.

When the soul is connected with love and purity to the YHVH system, it can draw from its light. The actions that we do from our loving heart control the energy in the body and bring the YHVH to fill the four chambers in our heart. Only then we can overcome the negative side of the Liver, Spleen and Bile from taking control over us.

When the world behaves with hate and greed the earth, which is the body, brings out negativity in different forms. Volcanic dust, oil spills, toxic gases, tsunamis, earth quakes etc.

Keep your heart pure to connect to the protection shield of YHVH.

-
