414. וּמִשּׁוּם זֶה בֵּאֲרוּהוּ בַּעֲלֵי הַמִּשְׁנָה, הַמְבַקֵּר אֶת הַחוֹלֶה לֹא יֵשֵׁב לִמְרַאֲשׁוֹתָיו, מִשּׁוּם שֶׁשְּׁכִינָה עַל רֹאשׁוֹ. וְלֹא לְמַרְגְּלוֹתָיו, כֵּיוָן שֶׁמַּלְאַךְ הַמָּוֶת לְמַרְגְּלוֹתָיו. וְזֶה לֹא לְכָל בֶּן אָדָם, אֶלָּא לְבֵינוֹנִי. אֲבָל לְצַדִּיק גָּמוּר – ה’ יִסְעָדֶנּוּ עַל עֶרֶשׂ דְּוָי, עַל רֹאשׁוֹ. וְהַשְּׁכִינָה מַקִּיפָה אֶת גּוּפוֹ עַד רַגְלָיו. וּמִשּׁוּם זֶה נֶאֱמַר בְּיַעֲקֹב, (בראשית מט) וַיֶּאֱסֹף רַגְלָיו אֶל הַמִּטָּה, וְזוֹ הַשְּׁכִינָה שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר בָּהּ, (ישעיה סו) וְהָאָרֶץ הֲדֹם רַגְלָי. וּלְרָשָׁע גָּמוּר, מַלְאַךְ הַמָּוֶת מַקִּיף אוֹתוֹ בְּכָל צְדָדָיו. וְזֶה יֵצֶר הָרָע, שֶׁמַּלְאַךְ הַמָּוֶת מַקִּיף אוֹתוֹ בְּכָל צְדָדָיו, חֶרֶב שֶׁלּוֹ, שֶׁפָּנָיו מוֹרִיקוֹת בְּטִפָּה אַחַת מֵאוֹתָן שָׁלֹשׁ טִפּוֹת שֶׁזּוֹרֵק בּוֹ. זֶהוּ שֶׁכָּתוּב (משלי ה) וְאַחֲרִיתָה מָרָה כַלַּעֲנָה. הַכָּבֵד זֶה הַזָּכָר. יוֹתֶרֶת הַכָּבֵד – נְקֵבָה. 415. הַקֵּבָה הִיא דַּרְגָּה אַחַת מִשִּׁשִּׁים מִמִּיתָה, וְזֶה נִקְרָא תַּרְדֵּמָה. מַלְאָךְ עַסְטִירְאָה (עֲסִירְטָא), דַּרְגָּה שִׁשִּׁית שֶׁל מַלְאַךְ הַמָּוֶת. וּמִתּוֹךְ שֶׁבָּא מֵרָחוֹק, הוּא מִצַּד הַמָּוֶת, וְלֹא מָוֶת מַמָּשׁ. וְנִרְמָז – אֶחָד מִשִּׁשִּׁים מִמִּיתָה.

Pinchas 414,415

Psalms 41:4 “יְהוָה–יִסְעָדֶנּוּ, עַל-עֶרֶשׂ דְּוָי”
YHVH support him upon the bed of illness”

The sages tell us that a person who visits the sick in his bed should not sit by his legs because the Shechina is by the head and the angel of death is by the feet.

If a person is righteous, then YHVH is by his head and the Shechina surrounds his body up to the feet. For Jacob it was said Genesis 49:33 “וַיְכַל יַעֲקֹב לְצַוֹּת אֶת-בָּנָיו, וַיֶּאֱסֹף רַגְלָיו אֶל-הַמִּטָּה; וַיִּגְוַע, וַיֵּאָסֶף אֶל-עַמָּיו ”
“And when Jacob made an end of charging his sons, he gathered up his feet into the bed, and expired, and was gathered unto his people. ”

The bed is the aspect of the Shechina and when Jacob finished giving the blessings to his children, he raised his feet to the bed that is the aspect of the Shechina and his soul ascended to its place above.

Impure people have the angel of death surrounding their body from all directions with his sword waiting for the exact moment to separate the soul from the body.

Proverb 5:4
“וְאַחֲרִיתָהּ, מָרָה כַלַּעֲנָה; חַדָּה, כְּחֶרֶב פִּיּוֹת ”
“But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword.”

Jacob was the first to be sick in the Torah. The sages told us that Jacob asked God to give him the opportunity to bless his son before leaving the world. We know that the passing day of a righteous person is when his energy and the light from all of his spiritual work are fully revealed. Jacob knew that the entire future of the correction process depended on the blessings of the twelve sons.

Before Jacob change the system, death was a sudden event. When the time of death comes, a person would sneeze and his soul would leave the body. This is the reason why people bless each other for health when they hear a sneeze.

Don’t get upset with Jacob because he did what’s best for us. Sickness is an aspect of Mercy that allows us time to correct the soul before it leaves this world. Many people suffer greatly before they die and that is their opportunity to repent and/or pay the last payments on the correction process.

411. אָמַר הָרוֹעֶה הַנֶּאֱמָן, וַדַּאי כָּךְ הוּא, שֶׁהַכָּבֵד הוּא מַדְרֵגָה שֶׁל עֵשָׂו. עֵשָׂו הוּא אֱדוֹם. הוּא כּוֹנֵס אֶת כָּל הַדָּמִים, בֵּין הַצְּלוּלִים בֵּין הָעֲכוּרִים. וְלֹא מַבְחִין בֵּין טוֹב לְרַע. לֹא עוֹשֶׂה הַבְדָּלָה בֵּינֵיהֶם. הַלֵּב הוּא יִשְׂרָאֵל, שֶׁמַּבְדִּיל בֵּין טוֹב לְרַע, בֵּין דָּם טָמֵא לְדָם טָהוֹר, וְלֹא לוֹקֵחַ אֶלָּא הַמְבֹרָר וְהַנָּקִי שֶׁל אוֹתוֹ דָּם, כְּבוֹרֵר אֹכֶל מִתּוֹךְ פְּסֹלֶת.

413. וּמִשּׁוּם שֶׁמִּמֶּנָּה מִתְעוֹרֵר כַּעַס לַכָּבֵד, פֵּרְשׁוּהָ חַכְמֵי הַמִּשְׁנָה, כָּל הַכּוֹעֵס כְּאִלּוּ עוֹבֵד עֲבוֹדָה זָרָה. וְלֹא עוֹד, אֶלָּא שֶׁאֵין שְׂרֵפָה וַחֲמִימוּת בְּכָל הַמַּחֲלוֹת שֶׁל אֶבְרֵי הַגּוּף אֶלָּא מִמָּרָה. שֶׁהִיא מַדְלִיקָה בְּשַׁלְהָבוֹת עַל הָעוֹרְקִים שֶׁל הַכָּבֵד וְרוֹצָה לִשְׂרֹף אֶת כָּל הַגּוּף. וְהִיא כְּדֻגְמַת הַיָּם כַּאֲשֶׁר הוּא כּוֹעֵס, שֶׁגַּלֵּי הַיָּם עוֹלִים עַד לָרָקִיעַ וְרוֹצִים לָצֵאת מִגְּבוּלָם לְשַׁבֵּר (לְהַחֲרִיב) הָעוֹלָם. אִם לֹא הַשְּׁכִינָה, שֶׁהִיא לַחוֹלֶה כַּחוֹל הַמַּקִּיף אֶת הַיָּם שֶׁלֹּא יוֹצֵא מִשְּׂפָתוֹ – אַף כָּךְ הַשְּׁכִינָה סוֹבֶבֶת לַגּוּף וְסוֹמֶכֶת אוֹתוֹ, כְּמוֹ שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר (תהלים מא) ה’ יִסְעָדֶנּוּ עַל עֶרֶשׂ דְּוָי.

Pinchas 411-413

The Faithful Shepherd teaches us here that the Liver is the level of Esau, as it said (genesis 36:1) “ וְאֵלֶּה תֹּלְדוֹת עֵשָׂו, הוּא אֱדוֹם”
“Now these are the generations of Esau–the same is Edom.”

Edom comes from the root of ‘Red’ color as the blood ‘דם’. Red represents desire and left column.

The liver gathers the entire blood and doesn’t distinguish between pure and impure blood. The heart is the aspect of Israel (Jacob) that separates between good and bad, pure and impure blood. He takes only the pure blood using a process that lets it keep the pure parts.

The heart is at a higher place in the body and the liver is lower. The liver that is left with the impure blood raises anger in the Bile. That anger is the aspect of hell that was created on the second day.

The sages teach us that people with anger are considered as idol worshipers. The negativity in the blood causes the Bile to set fires in the blood and through the arteries it wishes to burn the entire body.

The Zohar gives example of the sea that raises big waves at time of anger and wishes to go over the land and makes destruction.

Only the Shechina surrounds the body like the sand at the sea shores that breaks the waves from coming up.

Psalms 41:4 “יְהוָה–יִסְעָדֶנּוּ, עַל-עֶרֶשׂ דְּוָי”

The liver is our life partner and we should be in good relationship with It. It is affected by our actions. On the spiritual level our negative actions create an effect on the soul level of Nefesh that is the energy that is circulating in the blood and brings life to the body. On the physical level bad food, including processed food with negative consciousness or lack of ‘life’ energy, also puts a load on the liver that wants to clean the body in order to sustain it and stay ‘alive’ for a longer time.

When the liver is ‘fed up’, meaning reaching a critical level of negativity, it activates its partner, the bile, to ignite fires in the body to cleanse the impurity. The Zohar describes it as ‘hell’ because the fire in hell is just a process with the purpose of cleansing the soul before letting it ascend to a higher level.

The fire ‘burns’ consume the energies of the body, forcing it into a renewal process.

Spiritual connections add to the personal protection field that is around our body, it is called ‘Tzelem’, צלם. Numerical value עץ, ‘Tree’ that is the connection to the Tree of Life.

409. טְחוֹל, פָּתַח הַמְּנוֹרָה הַקְּדוֹשָׁה וְאָמַר, (קהלת ד) וָאֶרְאֶה אֶת כָּל הָעֲשֻׁקִים [שֶׁנַּעֲשׂוּ] אֲשֶׁר נַעֲשִׂים תַּחַת הַשָּׁמֶשׁ וְהִנֵּה דִמְעַת הָעֲשֻׁקִים. מִי אֵלּוּ הָעֲשׁוּקִים? אֵלּוּ תִּינוֹקוֹת שֶׁהֵם בְּחֵיק אִמּוֹתָם, שֶׁמִּסְתַּלְּקִים מֵהָעוֹלָם עַל יְדֵי מַלְאַךְ הַמָּוֶת. וְכִי מַלְאַךְ הַמָּוֶת הוֹרֵג אוֹתָם שֶׁהוּא עוֹשֵׁק? אֶלָּא חָזַר וְאָמַר, וּמִיַּד עֹשְׁקֵיהֶם כֹּחַ וְאֵין לָהֶם מְנַחֵם. מִי הוּא אוֹתוֹ כֹּחַ? זֶהוּ שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר (בראשית א) יְהִי מְאֹרֹת בִּרְקִיעַ הַשָּׁמַיִם. וְזֶהוּ מְאֹרֹת חָסֵר וָא”ו, וְזוֹ לִילִית, שֶׁהִיא מְמֻנָּה עַל אוֹתוֹ הָעוֹשֵׁק.

410. וְהִיא נִקְרֵאת טְחוֹל, וְהִיא הוֹלֶכֶת וּמְצַחֶקֶת בַּתִּינוֹקוֹת, וְאַחַר כָּךְ עוֹשָׂה בָּהֶם רֹגֶז וּדְמָעוֹת, לִבְכּוֹת עֲלֵיהֶם. הַטְּחוֹל הוֹלֵךְ אַחַר הַכָּבֵד, שֶׁהוּא מִינוֹ. זֶה נִבְרָא בַּשֵּׁנִי, וְזֶה בָּרְבִיעִי בְּמַעֲשֵׂה בְרֵאשִׁית. וּמִשּׁוּם זֶה אֵין סִימָן טוֹב בַּשֵּׁנִי וּבָרְבִיעִי. כָּבֵד – מִיתָה שֶׁל הַגְּדוֹלִים, טְחוֹל – מִיתָה שֶׁל הַקְּטַנִּים.

Pinchas 409,410

Ecclesiastes 4:1
“וְשַׁבְתִּי אֲנִי, וָאֶרְאֶה אֶת-כָּל-הָעֲשֻׁקִים, אֲשֶׁר נַעֲשִׂים, תַּחַת הַשָּׁמֶשׁ; וְהִנֵּה דִּמְעַת הָעֲשֻׁקִים, וְאֵין לָהֶם מְנַחֵם, וּמִיַּד עֹשְׁקֵיהֶם כֹּחַ, וְאֵין לָהֶם מְנַחֵם. ”
“But I returned and considered all the oppressions that are done under the sun; and behold the tears of such as were oppressed, and they had no comforter; and on the side of their oppressors there was power, but they had no comforter. ”

The Zohar explains that the ‘oppressors’ is the angel of death, Sama-el and his wife, Lili-t. The oppressed is the children that are still dependent on their mothers.

The one that is responsible on taking the life of the children is Lili-t, that is the aspect of the spleen. She attracts the kids with laughter and then kills them. She brings the anger and tears when the parents cry over their death and have no comfort.

Sama-el is the aspect of the liver and the one that brings the death to the adults.

The power that the oppressors have comes from the second day of Creation when separation between the two systems of upper and lower waters took place. The Liver and the angel of death were also created on that day.

Genesis 1:14
“וַיֹּאמֶר אֱלֹהִים, יְהִי מְאֹרֹת בִּרְקִיעַ הַשָּׁמַיִם, לְהַבְדִּיל, בֵּין הַיּוֹם וּבֵין הַלָּיְלָה; וְהָיוּ לְאֹתֹת וּלְמוֹעֲדִים, וּלְיָמִים וְשָׁנִים. ”
“And God said: ‘Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days and years; ”

On the fourth day, there was a second separation between the greater light sources. The word ‘lights’ is ‘מְאֹרֹת’ in Hebrew and it is missing the letter ו Vav after the Alef. That gives the word a second meaning that means ‘curses’.

The two lights created were of equal value but one of them questioned the Creator for the reason of making two of the same. God took away the light from it and lowered it to the bottom level, which is Malchut. From that action came out the Klipah that is called Lili-t.

The sun is the aspect of יהו YHV, the Light and the moon is the aspect of ה H, Malchut.

The Zohar tells us that the there is no good sign in starting things on Monday and Wednesday.

We should avoid all aspects of separation in all of our actions everyday of the week because it immediately invites the Klipah that kills everything at the beginning.

406. אָמַר הַמְּנוֹרָה הַקְּדוֹשָׁה, וַדַּאי רוֹעֶה נֶאֱמָן, מַדְרֵגָה שֶׁלְּךָ הִיא, שֶׁבָּהּ נֶאֱמַר וַחֲמַת הַמֶּלֶךְ שָׁכָכָה. (תהלים קמד) אַשְׁרֵי הָעָם שֶׁכָּכָ”ה, בְּגִימַטְרִיָּא מֹשֶׁה. אָמַר לוֹ, בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה הַמָּאוֹר הַקָּדוֹשׁ, נֵר שֶׁדּוֹלֵק לִפְנֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ וְהַמַּלְכָּה. נֵר ה’ – הִיא נְשָׁמָה שֶׁלְּךָ.

408. וְכֵן הַמֹּחַ יֵשׁ לוֹ אַרְבַּע חַיּוֹת, שֶׁהוּא כִּסֵּא שֶׁל רַחֲמִים. וּמָהֵן? רְאִיָּה שְׁמִיעָה רֵיחַ דִּבּוּר. רְאִיָּה – אַרְיֵה. שְׁמִיעָה – שׁוֹר. רֵיחַ – נֶשֶׁר. וְאַרְבַּע פָּנִים וְאַרְבַּע כְּנָפַיִם לְכָל אֶחָד. דִּבּוּר – הוּא אָדָם. אָחוּז לְמַעְלָה וּלְמַטָּה, זְרוֹעוֹת, שֶׁבָּהֶן נֶאֱמַר וְיָדֵינוּ פְרוּשׂוֹת כְּנִשְׁרֵי שָׁמַיִם. גּוּף – אַרְיֵה, וְשׁוֹקַיִם, עֲלֵיהֶן נֶאֱמַר (יחזקאל א) וְכַף רַגְלֵיהֶם כְּכַף רֶגֶל עֵגֶל. וְעַל הַגּוּף נֶאֱמַר (בראשית א) מֶרְכֶּבֶת הַמִּשְׁנֶה. מִשְׁנָה כָּתוּב, לְשׁוֹן הַמִּשְׁנָה. וּבְחִבּוּר קַדְמוֹן. Pinchas 406-408

Rabbi Shimon tells Moses that his level corrects all the worlds because it says in Psalms 144:15

” אַשְׁרֵי הָעָם, שֶׁכָּכָה לּוֹ: אַשְׁרֵי הָעָם, שֱׁיְהוָה אֱלֹהָיו”
” Happy is the people that is in such a case (Moses=שֶׁכָּכָה). Yea, happy is the people whose God is YHVH

שֶׁכָּכָה is Numerical value 345 as Moses משה. King David concealed Moses’s name because it is about the spiritual level of Da’at that Moses represents. We are the happy people that have the ability to connect to Da’at. It is the Sefirah that is formed when Chokmah and Binah are connected together. It allows the light to continue to the lower levels. That is the purpose of Moses from the beginning and through the end, which is the revelation of Mashiach.

Moses replied to Rabbi Shimon telling him that he is a holy candle that is lit in front of the King and Queen and his soul is the candle of YHVH.

This word exchange is not a flattery but a calculated spiritual connection. Rabbi Shimon connected to Moses that is Da’at and Moses validated that connection by positioning him in front of the King that is Zeir Anpin and the Queen that is the Shechina in the lower level.

Moses on the upper level connects Chokmah and Binah (Y and H of the name) and Rabbi Shimon on the lower level connects Zeir Anpin and Malchut (V and H of the name).

Both of them give us a complete connection to the Tree of Life that we can achieve through the Zohar study.

The Zohar adds that the brain is a throne of mercy and it has four ‘creatures’ like the Holy Creatures of the Holy Throne.

They are revealed in the head.

Y – Lion – Chokmah – Eyes – Seeing
H – Ox – Binah – Ears – Hearing
V – Eagle – Zeir Anpin – Nose – Smell
H – Man – Malchut – Mouth – Speech

These are the most important tools for making high spiritual connections. With proper consciousness in the brain, we activate the Light of Mercy as an envelope to carry the prayer to a place where it can be heard and answered.

402. אָמַר הָרוֹעֶה הַנֶּאֱמָן, הַמְּנוֹרָה הַקְּדוֹשָׁה, כָּל מַה שֶּׁאָמַרְתָּ – נָכוֹן, אֲבָל הַמֹּחַ הוּא מַיִם, וְהַלֵּב הוּא אֵשׁ, וּשְׁנֵיהֶם הֵם רַחֲמִים וְדִין. זֶה כִּסֵּא רַחֲמִים, וְזֶה כִּסֵּא דִין. וְהַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא מֶלֶךְ, עוֹמֵד מִכִּסֵּא דִין, שֶׁהוּא הַלֵּב, וְיוֹשֵׁב עַל כִּסֵּא רַחֲמִים, שֶׁהוּא הַמֹּחַ.

405. וְאוֹתָהּ הָרוּחַ שֶׁנּוֹשֶׁבֶת בְּכַנְפֵי הָרֵאָה, הִיא מוֹצִיאָה קוֹל בְּקָנֶה, שֶׁהוּא קְנֵה חָכְמָה קְנֵה בִינָה. וְנֶאֱמַר בָּהּ, (יחזקאל לז) כֹּה אָמַר ה’ מֵאַרְבַּע רוּחוֹת בֹּאִי הָרוּחַ. שֶׁהֵן אַרְבַּע אוֹתִיּוֹת יְהֹוָ”ה, וְזוֹהִי רוּחַ שֶׁדּוֹפֶקֶת בְּכָל עוֹרְקֵי הַלֵּב, שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר בָּהֶם (יחזקאל א) אֶל אֲשֶׁר יִהְיֶה שָּׁמָּה הָרוּחַ לָלֶכֶת יֵלֵכוּ.

 

Pinchas 402-405

The ‘Faithful Shepherd’, Moses, calls Rabbi Shimon ‘Holy Light’ and praises him for his previous teaching. He adds that the brain is water, that is Chassadim and the aspect of Chokmah of the right. The heart is fire that is judgment and the secret of Chokmah of the left column of Binah. Together they bring mercy and judgment. The brain is the throne of Mercy and the heart is a throne of judgment. The Holy one Bless be He, is a king that stands on a throne of judgment that is the heart and sits on the throne of Mercy, that is the brain.

Esther 7:7
“וְהַמֶּלֶךְ קָם בַּחֲמָתוֹ, מִמִּשְׁתֵּה הַיַּיִן”
“And the king arose in his wrath from the banquet of wine”

Our involvement with different kinds of negativity builds up impurities in the body and the King that usually sits in his throne in peace, raises with anger. It is an automatic effect that is caused by our negativity. The wine in the verse above, is the aspect of the Torah. When the wings of the lungs blow, the anger is calmed.

Esther 7:10 “וַחֲמַת הַמֶּלֶךְ, שָׁכָכָה”
“Then the king’s anger subsided “

When the negativity is removed or sweetened with Chassadim, the aspect of judgment disappears and the King is back into peace. The words ‘subsided’ שָׁכָכָה has the numerical value of 345, same as the name מהש for healing. Kabbalistic gimatria brings the spelled name מהש as equal to the word חיים ,’Life’. (For those who understand it, Hebrew explanation below)

To remove illnesses and judgments from our soul and body , we need to draw light of Chassadim that will balance the blood and maintain healthy soul in a healthy body.

The deep study of the Torah that we do through the Zohar helps us in achieve the necessary balance in our lives. Some souls have stings of judgments connected to them from previous lives. The continuous prayers and meditations, especially of the Shema Yisrael prayer will transform the judgment to positivity sooner or later.
