Daily Zohar #361 – Dress yourself like a Cohen

Sunday, July 18th, 2010

Holy Zohar text. Daily Zohar -361.

Tikkun 21 – 102

Out of 613 precepts 248 were made to as a tool to correct the soul by doing a specific action.
We can consider the soul as a field of energy and a spiritual garment that contain and envelopes the whole body. We come to life with a ‘flawed’ garment and with each of the 248 precepts we build, correct or mend a different part of the soul.

Each person has a different set of precepts that he need to do for his own soul. No one can do all 248 precepts in one life times. Some precepts we may do once and it will be sufficient to correct that part of the soul and some of them we need to repeat throughout our life time. Not all people can make the mitzvah of Kohen or write a bill of divorce etc. Some people may have physical limitation like a blind or a mute person. But we all should follow and apply the 365 precepts of “You shall not …”. These precepts keep negativity away from hurting our soul.

The word for precept, מצוה, reveals the power behind it. The four letters are for the name YHVH. The last two letters וה are for Zeir Anpin and Malchut. They represent Malchut and Zeir Anpin, which is our world ה and the Torah ו. The Torah is the tool to make the connection to the upper level that is יה.
The action of the precept, מצוה transforms the letters מצ to יה in the secret of A-T B-Sh אתבש. When we follow a מצוה we create returning light and the Hebrew letters take a different direction, from last to first. The letter Tav ת becomes א Alef, ב Bet to ש Shin etc.
The revealed action of the מצוה, which is וה connects Malchut and Zeir Anpin and reveal the concealed מצ as יה that reveals the light of YHVH יהוה.
The letter מ and צ has the numerical value of 130 which is 10 times love אהבה. When we find value of ten times it means completeness and in this case the action of love is requires on all levels in order to connect to the Tree of Life.

The most important precept of the Torah is “ואהבת לרעך כמוך” “Love your fellow man as yourself”
When we apply this love unconditionally, we bring the light into our heart and affect the blood, which is the soul. Love is the mending power that heals the negative holes in our soul.

The word ואהבת “act with love” has numerical value of 414, which is twice light אור (207). This is for running and returning light that create continuation of the life force in this world.
“Hatred stirs up strifes but love covers all transgressions.”

When we ‘sin’, which is acting with selfish desires and disconnection from the light, we create ‘holes’ in our soul by letting the light that we achieve with positive action escapes and get swallowed by the dark side. Each ‘hole’ creates distance from the light and it becomes harder for us to connect to the light the next time.

“Every man that has blemish, shall not approach (the holy)”

This verse from Leviticus is in the section of the Torah that describes the rules that apply to the Cohen. He must have unblemished soul when coming to serve in the Holy of Holies.

When the Cohen goes into the Holy of Holies he connects and draws the light of Binah. This light removes negativity from the world. If the Cohen has ‘holes’ in his soul then there is a direct connection between the impure body and the light of Binah. The body cannot exists in this light so if the Cohen is not pure when going into the Holy of Holies, he dies.

We should be building our soul with the precepts and above all love everyone like ourselves. Making connection to the deep study of the Torah, which is the Zohar help us achieve more ‘loving’ state. That gives us the ability to channel the higher light of Binah to this world.

Daily Zohar #341 – Can we make it before the time?

Thursday, June 24th, 2010

Holy Zohar text. Daily Zohar -341.

Tikkun 21 – 82

“And it came to pass at midnight, that the man was startled, and turned himself; and, behold, a woman lay at his feet.”

“Dwell in here during the night, and when it comes the morning and he will redeem you, the light of good will redeem. And if he finds no reason to redeem you, I (אָנֹכִי, which is the same light of the Exodus and the beginning of the Ten Utterances (aka commandments) ) will redeem you, חי YHVH.

If we make actions that elevate us from the lower levels, ‘feet’, which are Malchut and supporting the Shechina, then the light of Redemption will come from the ‘husband’, Zeir Anpin, otherwise it will come from Binah.

The Redemption will come regardless of our actions because God made his promise. The difference is the time and the process that will lead to it.

If we have the right actions to bring it sooner , then it will come from a closer level to us, which is Zeir Anpin. If not, then we will go through the whole process of cleansing until the time comes and the Light of Binah is revealed.

That explains the prophecy of Isaiah.
“I am YHVH will hasten it (the redemption) in its time.”
The conflict in the meaning of the redemption time in this verse is resolved with the help of the Zohar as explained above.
In the verse God promises “In its time”, which means that the redemption will come from Binah after we go through harsh cleansing process.
And will “Hasten it” if our actions build a pure channel to Zeir Anpin and we merit its light.

As it is said: Isaiah 60:20
“לֹא-יָבוֹא עוֹד שִׁמְשֵׁךְ, וִירֵחֵךְ לֹא יֵאָסֵף: כִּי יְהוָה, יִהְיֶה-לָּךְ לְאוֹר עוֹלָם, וְשָׁלְמוּ, יְמֵי אֶבְלֵךְ”
“Thy sun shall no more go down, Neither shall the moon withdraw itself; for YHVH shall be your everlasting light, and the days of your mourning shall be ended.”

Daily Zohar #276 – Rx: Supernal waters every 72 hours.

Wednesday, April 7th, 2010

Holy Zohar text. Daily Zohar -276.

Tikkun 21 – 17

(Continue form Daily Zohar 274, 275)

When the rock incident happened, the Shechinah left and a negative energy replaced her place. The Zohar relates to this energy as Marah and it is related to the process of life, work and death.
The name Marah מרה (MRH) literally means bitterness. We find references to it in
“And they made their lives BITTER with hard work, in mortar and in brick, and in all manner of service in the field; in all their service, wherein they made them serve with rigor.”
“And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were BITTER. Therefore the name of it was called Marah.”

15:24 And the people murmured against Moses, saying: ‘What shall we drink?’
15:25 “And he cried to YHVH and YHVH showed him a TREE, and he cast it into the waters, and the waters were made sweet. There He made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there He proved them;”
The above incident was 72 hours after the splitting and crossing the Red Sea. The physical water was BITTER and they felt the lack of the light. When Moses cried to YHVH, he was shown the Tree of Life connection and that brought life to the lower waters.

“And He said: ‘If you will diligently hearken to the voice of YHVH your God, and will do that which is truth in His eyes (Chokmah), and will give ear (Binah) to Mitzvoth (precepts) and follow the spiritual laws, I will put none of the diseases upon you, which I have put upon the Egyptians; for I am YHVH, your healer.”

The life in the water is activated with connection to the spiritual laws and draws light from the supernal. This is the reason why we have Torah reading in public every 72 hours. (Monday, Thursday and Saturday).

Daily Zohar #270 – Seventh heaven recharge

Saturday, March 27th, 2010

Holy Zohar text. Daily Zohar -270.

Tikkun 21 – 11

The energy that sustains the world comes from Binah, which is the supernal sea. It flows and fills the seven seas that are the aspect of the seven Sefirot of Zeir Anpin. Every level of the seven has its own 10 Sefirot. From Malchut of Zeir Anpin, it channels the water to our level.

As it is said in Deuteronomy 33:19 “כִּי שֶׁפַע יַמִּים יִינָקוּ, וּשְׂפֻנֵי טְמוּנֵי חוֹל.”

“For they shall suck the abundance of the seas, and the hidden treasures of the sand.”
The expression of energy in this world comes through seven levels. The days of the week follow that flow and the seventh day is Shabbat. It is the time when Malchut is elevated to Binah through seven heavens (לבנת הספיר), for a weekly ‘recharge’.

King David, who is the aspect of Malchut, lived exactly 70 years because it is the cycle of the energy in Malchut. Even though he was a strong man, King David had to die to ‘return’ his light to the source.
We know that he was supposed to die at birth but Adam gave him 70 years out of his 1000. Why 70 and not 80 or 60? Adam knew how the system works.

The Zohar says that the sea will go back to its original ‘strength’, which is the state of pure light after 70 years.

Daily Zohar #269 – Like a fetus in his mother’s womb.

Thursday, March 25th, 2010

Holy Zohar text. Daily Zohar -269.

Tikkun 21 – 10

“Yonder sea, great and wide,
therein are creeping things innumerable, living creatures, both small and great.”

Proverb 30:19 “דֶּרֶךְ הַנֶּשֶׁר, בַּשָּׁמַיִם– דֶּרֶךְ נָחָשׁ, עֲלֵי-צוּר;
“The way of an eagle in the air; the way of a serpent upon a rock; the way of a ship in the midst of the sea; and the way of a man with a young woman.”
This verse tells us about four connections of the YHVH in our world. The first two are male representations of the name. Yod (Chokmah), Vav (Zeir Anpin), H (Binah) and H (Malchut).

The ship is a vessel and it represents Malchut. Midst is לב and Sea is ים.
לב is 32 and it refers to the 32 paths of wisdom revealed in the Torah from the 32 times the name Elokim appears in the story of Creation.
Sea is the aspect of Binah.

The Zohar is the ‘sea’ (Light of Binah) that comes out from the Torah. When we ‘swim’ in the Zohar and study from it we connect to the protection of the supernal waters like a fetus in his mother’s womb.

Daily Zohar #225 – My sister, my wife, my dove, my flawless one

Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010

Holy Zohar text. Daily Zohar -225.

Tikkun 19 – 5

When we prepare for Shabbat and elevate it with our consciousness and actions, we are opt to receive more from its light.

Song of Songs 5:2 “פִּתְחִי-לִי אֲחֹתִי רַעְיָתִי יוֹנָתִי תַמָּתִי–שֶׁרֹּאשִׁי נִמְלָא-טָל, קְוֻצּוֹתַי רְסִיסֵי לָיְלָה.”
“…Open for me, my sister, my wife, my dove, my flawless one my head is filled with dew, my hair with the drops of the night”

The Zohar quotes this verse to show the desire of Zeir Anpin to connect to Malchut and deliver the light.

Our work fills our spiritual vessel with the light in the level of Zeir Anpin and on Shabbat it has the opportunity to connect to Malchut and transfer the light. We need to be ready with purity and rest to be able to receive that light at a higher state. The stronger the connection, the more blessings this light can bring in.

The unification of Zeir Anpin and Malchut is done on the holy level of Binah. Binah is a female aspect and it represents the desire of the Creator to bring the light to Malchut. A man and a woman’s connection on Friday night opens the gate for the light of Binah to fill the unification with blessings.

The verse above describes the light knocking on the door of his beloved one using 4 terms of endearment “אֲחֹתִי רַעְיָתִי יוֹנָתִי תַמָּתִי” . The first letter of each ארית sums up to 611, which is the same as Torah תורה, which is Zeir Anpin. This is to tell us that all connection should be following the guide of the Torah.

Friday night is also the best time for the father (as Zeir Anpin) to bless his children.

Daily Zohar #198 – Where is the heart of the Universe

Saturday, January 2nd, 2010

Holy Zohar text. Daily Zohar -198.

Tikkun 18 Continue

Continue Daily Zohar #197

Genesis 6:5,6
“וַיַּרְא יְהוָה, כִּי רַבָּה רָעַת הָאָדָם בָּאָרֶץ, וְכָל-יֵצֶר מַחְשְׁבֹת לִבּוֹ, רַק רַע כָּל-הַיּוֹם”
“ וַיִּנָּחֶם יְהוָה, כִּי-עָשָׂה אֶת-הָאָדָם בָּאָרֶץ; וַיִּתְעַצֵּב, אֶל-לִבּוֹ. ”
“And YHVH saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.”
“And it repented YHVH that He had made man on the earth, and it grieved Him at His heart.”

That explains why God wanted to “reboot” the system.

The heart is לב in Hebrew with numerical value 32, for the 32 paths of Wisdom. This is the accumulation of the 22 letters of Zeir Anpin and the 10 Sefirot of Binah. When Zeir Anpin goes up to Binah it activates the Light of Chokmah with its 10 Sefirot to send energy to the heart.

The beating ‘Heart’ is the force of creation coming out of the 42 letter name of God. The first heart beat started at the moment of creation with the “Big Bang”. It pulsate every second since then.

The Torah represents Zeir Anpin and it’s the heart of the Tree of Life. At the beginning of the Torah -concealed in the first 42 letters- we find the 42 letter name that we use in the Ana B’Koach prayer.

Daily Zohar #142 – Choose your tree

Wednesday, October 28th, 2009

Holy Zohar text. Daily Zohar -142.

Tikkun #13

King David’s ten types of Psalms

In the word בראשית there is אשרי, as in the first word of Psalms, “Happy is the man who does not follow the advice of the wicked…sinners…scornful..”.
The advice of the wicked is referred to the first advice that the Snake gave Eve and connected her to the Tree of Knowledge Good and Bad and the world of lies and chaos.
Psalms 1:1 mention 3 types of connection to negativity. Follow (walk) the wicked, stand by sinners and sit with scornful.

Psalms 1:2 point to only one positive way and it is “The desire for the Torah of YHVH” and live according to it day and night. This is the Tree of Life and the effect of choosing the right system described in Psalms in the verses that follows.
אשרי has the letters of ראש and י, meaning head of the י, which is the Head of the 10 Sefirot. The Zohar refer to Keter in the secret of אהיה אשר אהיה.
When we desire elevation using the Torah, Zeir Anpin to connect to Binah and Chokmah. This connection created a shield of Chessed and allow positive flow from the Light of Chokmah to Malchut.

Rabbi Ashlag teaches that choosing the right environment is the most important for the spiritual work and practical life. You can not be a righteous in Sodom and Gemorah. You have to leave negative places and don’t look back in order to save yourself.

Kind David chose this advice to begin the amazing book of Psalm. This is how important it is. Choose your friends carefully. Even if you put a pure water into a dirty vessel, it will still stay dirty.

Daily Zohar #139 – Still inside the Briar patch

Sunday, October 25th, 2009

Holy Zohar text. Daily Zohar -139.

Tikkun #12

בראשית, is the first word and saying of the 10 sayings of creation and all that followed. It reveals the inner lights coming out from the world of Emanation that is called ראשית, “Beginning”. The letter ב in the aspect of Malchut elevated to the root of the beginning to create a connection from the beginning to the end.

This connection brought out Binah from the head of that beginning, called Arich Anpin. The name long face, tells about it stretch influence throughout creation (like the saying from head to toe).

Binah that came out from that supernal head, included all the 32 words of אלהים, Elokim, mentioned in the 10 sayings of creation. (…And Elokim said “let there be…”).

The Creation was made from the aspect of Gevura, represented by the name Elokim and red fire.

Moses was from the tribe of Levi, that are Gevura and left column and that is why God revealed himself to him in the burning bush, סנה בוער. God appeared in a form to match Moses’s spiritual level to make a stronger connection with him.

The Zohar asks why God revealed himself using element of left and judgment and answers that it was done to show the hardship and urgency to take the Israelites out of Egypt.

The Israelites are like the roses among the Erev Rav. They are the mix multitude and all the negativity that attached to the Israelites to take from their energy and to delay the Redemption, then and now.

Daily Zohar #137 – How to get your prayers answered?

Thursday, October 22nd, 2009

Holy Zohar text. Daily Zohar -137.

Tikkun #11 – Continue

Palaces is היכלות in plural and היכל, in singular and it has the letters of הכלי, meaning the vessel.
Supernal Mother, Binah, the seventh palace brought out six palaces. Each palace includes 7 Sefirot and so in every palace there is a palace, which is Malchut to every Sefira.

Like Binah, Malchut, which is the lower mother also brought out six that are the sky and earth. The supernal palace includes the upper three Sefirot and Yessod, which is the palace of the Sapphire stone.
Those are the six vessels that on them it said “in six days God created the heavens and the earth”.
The seventh day, Shabbat that is Malchut is taking the light from the upper three and completes the six days of creation.

Shabbat is more important than the rest of the weekdays because only in Shabbat the upper lights are revealed and spread to the rest of the week.

After the destruction of the Holy Temple and the beginning of the final exile that we are currently experiencing, all the gates of prayers, meaning that the Malchut of the Malchut of all the palaces are locked.

The Shechinah, which is Malchut is out of her palace and the Holy one bless be He, Zeir Anpin, is also out of his palace. The angles appointed to carry the prayers are also outside their palaces and there is no place for the prayers to come in.

But the gates of tears were not locked because those gates can be opened by the one with the tears.
The secret is Exodus 2:6 “and she opened it and saw the child and the child is crying and she had compassion on him…” and Jeremiah 31:8 about coming out of exile; “they will come back with weeping…”
The secret of the tears is in the spiritual level. When Malchut is elevated to Binah, the unification is made in the holes of the eyes.

The desire of Malchut is touching Chokmah when its great desire goes beyond the level of Binah. That extra connection activates the level of Chokmah and produces the tears.

Water was in existence at the starting point of creation. It is the highest level of physicality and we can easily change its spiritual energy with simple meditation.

The tears open the supernal gate by the TRUE desire of Malchut. It is important to know that there must be true desire because it is the “elevator” to Binah. Truth gives the ability to touch Chokmah. Cutting onion while praying will not help.
Crying out of need won’t help, unless your desire is true and for the sake of others.

A person should have pure soul, clean consciousness and unselfish desires before they can pray and get answered. That is why it said “A righteous ask and God fulfill”.
