Pinchas 115,116

Rabbi Shimon was asked why the Israelites move their body from side to side when they study or connect spiritually.

He sat, cried and said that the question reminds him of a great secret of the upper world.

Rabbi Shimon explains that the Israelites’ souls come from the Holy candle.

Proverb 20:27 “נֵר יְהוָה, נִשְׁמַת אָדָם ”
“The spirit of man is the candle of YHVH

This candle (in Malchut) is lit by the Torah that is Zeir Anpin and its light never rests.

Isaiah 62:6 “הַמַּזְכִּרִים, אֶת-יְהוָה–אַל-דֳּמִי, לָכֶם.”
“for those who remember YHVH, have no rest”

For those who have YHVH in their souls, the light is always with them. Like the light of the candle flickers constantly after it is lit.

The flame of the candle flickers because it represents acts of constant sharing. The light doesn’t rest and spreads in every direction until it’s ‘blocked’. Everything in the world of Malchut is in constant motion. The electrons of the atom are ‘forced’ by an unknown force (to scientists) to circle around the nucleolus in defined orbits. This is the life force that holds and keeps existence in its program.

The other nations are called slaves to the Zodiac and to the program but the Israelites can choose paths that are beyond the defined program when they connect with the study of Zohar (Torah) to higher lights.

  2. avatar Chris says:

Zion I remember hearing somewhere that the ‘Goy’ nations are subject to the rules of the material world, but Israel is subject to supernatural law.

Could you please expand on this a bit and provide some explanation? Thank you!

    • avatar Zion Nefesh says:

‘Goy’ גוי, is a term in the Bible, which means ‘nation’. The term got ‘stuck’ with Jews referring to non-Jew as ‘Goy’ meaning ‘belong to the other nations’. This is a corruption because the Israelites are also considered a greater ‘Goy’.
      First the promise of God to Abraham Genesis 12:2 “וְאֶעֶשְׂךָ, לְגוֹי גָּדוֹל, וַאֲבָרֶכְךָ, וַאֲגַדְּלָה שְׁמֶךָ; וֶהְיֵה, בְּרָכָה.” “And I will make of thee a great nation (Goy)”
The most significant ‘Goy’ in the Torah is Deuteronomy 4:7 ” כִּי מִי-גוֹי גָּדוֹל, אֲשֶׁר-לוֹ אֱלֹהִים קְרֹבִים אֵלָיו, כַּיהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ, בְּכָל-קָרְאֵנוּ אֵלָיו” “For which is the great nation that has God close to them, as YHVH our God, in all we have called unto him?” and the next verse “and which is the great nation (Great Goy) which hath righteous statutes and judgments according to all this law which I am setting before you to-day?”
After the sin of the Golden Calf, God offered Moses to make him a Great Goy without the Israelites but Moses refused and told God something like “I am with the israelites all the way to the end and if not then take me out of the system”. Lucky for us he stayed with us and Rabbi Shimon to help us all become a great nation of ‘great Goys’.

We learn from that that the greatest Goy is one who is connected to God and follow the laws.

Whoever follow the Torah with God in his heart becomes a ‘Great Goy’. I want to be such a Goy, are you?

Please remember that the negative side push on us terms that limits us and create separation. Do not follow that.
Satan, Devil doesn’t have red fiery eyes and horns and forked spear etc. It is just a distraction from the silent Snake.
The terms Jews became a terms that separates Jews from Israelites. The are many Erev Rav among Jews that are fed by the Snake and kill many good souls.

I ask everyone to ask all the good questions about different terms that create separation between people. One of my goal is to help breaking the illusionary barriers between people.

Simple and great answer, Zion, to so simple and key question, Chris -- pure Light that -- have a shiny bright day!

Thank you Zion today’s DZ and your commentary were so full of light and inspiration to me; for some reason it touched the depth of my inner spirit. Thanks be to G-d for you Zion and for you sharing your light and your family sharing you.
Light-Love- Good blessing to all DZ

  3. avatar Judith G. says:

This is very lovely to muse over and study Zion. I will not look at candles the same ever again. When the light is blocked from the ever flickering candle is it because it comes up against negativity?

    • avatar Zion Nefesh says:

The light spread in every direction unless it is stopped (walls, curtains etc.) or swallowed (Black, darkness, desire for the self alone).
A mirror (silver color) is sharing so it has a desire to receive in order to share. A clear or stained glass is visible to the degree of individual ‘swallow’ level. The transparent yellow ‘swallow’ less that a dark blue glass.

The negativity is the aspect of the element that swallows the light without sharing it.

      • avatar Judith G. says:

Zion, I came back to these words this morning to see what I thought of them after musing with them for a few days. And now I understand swallowed light more perfectly.
You have a gift of sharing that allows me to hear. Not always the first time I read it but if I go back and let my mind follow in the tracks you have laid down I can find the wisdom. Thank you so very much.

  4. avatar Ivan says:

    >>>The electrons of the atom are ‘forced’ by an unknown force (to scientists) to circle around
    >>>the nucleolus in defined orbits. This is the life force that holds and keeps existence in its
    >>>program.

    1. attraction between nucleus and electron: electrostatic force -- force between opposite
    charges
    2. perpendicularly on attraction force that balance electrostatic is magnetic force that
    provide electron circling
Orbitals on which electron circles : energetic levels or shells that defines absorbed or
    released energy of the electron

    • avatar Ivan says:

      >>>Orbitals on which electron circles : energetic levels or shells that defines
      >>>absorbed or released energy of the electron
Hmmm by the way this opens the question about the difference between releasing and sharing ( calculating and expressing )

  5. avatar Akiva Mayer says:

A candle flame is infinite because from it an unlimited amount of other flames can be lit from it. The restriction of the flame is based on how much wax is created. Since wax is a limitation, I liken it to Malchut which is limited.Learning Torah and doing acts of kindness for others is a way we can be the creator of wax and make sure the flame keeps shining. Only the best, Akiva Mayer

  6. avatar mehdi says:

That is very similar to that of the Holy Quran teachings,as a muslim I also believe in the Torah and all of the Israeli prophets.it is said in the Quran that “we gave the Torah to Moses in which there is a light of guidance.” and there is also a chapter in the Quran by the name “light” the first verse of this chapter is that “God is the Light of the Heavens and Earth.” and also it is said that when the resurrection occures all of the believers of God have lights on their right sides while the non-believers are all dark and blind.Thank you for your Zohar writtings.

    • avatar Zion Nefesh says:

Dear Mehdi, the ‘genes’ of spirituality is carried to all the children of God. We all have one source. Because of our sins God allowed different paths (Christians, Muslims and other believers in one god) to exists in order to keep the people connected to him. Even though it means separation between people. As long as they all believe in one God they can draw light to the world and save it from total distraction.
As we are coming closer to the Final Redemption the knowledge of Kabbalah that is the secrets of the Torah that Moses received on Mount Sinai for the whole world is now revealed and available to everyone in the world. The spread of Zohar teaching in the world will bring unity between all people and as a result Mashiach will come.
No matter what is a person’s background. We are all shaped in the same form and that means the image of God, Tree of Life and the structure of the ten Sefirot. The only difference is the type/size of soul and the desire for the light of the Creator.
      Love and Blessings to all.

  7. avatar Akiva says:

A candle flames duration is unlimited, and can light an infinite amount of other flames. Its only limitation is how much wax it has as a foundation. Learning Torah and doing acts of kindness for others are ways we can be wax creators, and keep the flame shining brightly.

    Only the best, Akiva Mayer

    • avatar Zion Nefesh says:

Thank you for the great comment Akiva. I would like to use the analogy of the candle and add that we are like the wick/body of the candle, we may have limited life time but we have endless ability to share the light. The Zohar teaches us that the merit of sharing the light is so great and if people could understand that, they will run after people to share light with them.

My advice to all of you is DON’T STOP SHARING. forward links to the Daily Zohar and any other source that you study Zohar and Kabbalah. Each candle you lit carries your name and shines your soul.

  8. avatar Judith G. says:

It is my understanding that the sefirot of Malchut of the world of Assiah has no light of its own. It is like the moon, it only reflects the light of the sun. Zion may I add to my understanding that through the funnel of Yessod the sefirot of Malchut receives the light of the Zeir Anpin?( and also the light from our study of Torah?) This confuses me because then it would appear to have a light of its own by receiving the light from Zeir Anpin, just like they receive their lights from Keter. Esoteric questions are so difficult for me to formulate though I must work to try.
I am always praying and studying to bring more light to the world for I know through my experiences that it makes a difference. One may change their signature as you said and hide from the negative angels and improve their neighborhoods.
See know I have studied my question so long I have the answer. Malchut still has no light of its own, it only has the reflected light from the Zeir Anpin.
Still if you have something to share with me I would appreciate it.
    Blessings and Love, Judith G.

    • avatar Zion Nefesh says:

You understood well Judith. In addition I want to add that we do not have connection to Keter but to Chokmah and Binah that when come together with unification through our higher spiritual studies they form the Sefirah of Da’at that continues the light from Chokmahand Binah to Zeir Anpin and that forms the central column. From Z”A and through connection to the Torah we are able to draw this light into our lives.
We read teh Torah (Zeir Anpin) on Shabbat because on that day we are elevated to Binah and that allows Zeir Anpin, Torah to connect and through the process of seven reading we draw the light.

One important thing to remember that without Malchut there is no identification or a name to anything.
The light of the sun travels great distances without being noticed. Only when an element ‘desire’ to receive this light, it enters its path and reveal it. That is why the moon is the aspect of Malchut and the sun is Zeir Anpin. The energy of the Sun comes from Binah.

      Study this paragraph well.

      • avatar Judith G. says:

Zion, I wrote this paragraph out by hand so I would have it in my mind good and yesterday as I was taking a nap in my small sun room I thought about these words as literally the sun which had traveled a great distance came to warm my body.
Now, this morning after reading more, I have studied this paragraph well. Blessings and Love, Judith
