“and the veil shall divide unto you between the holy and the holy of hollies.”

The ‘holy’ is the Holy Temple in general and the ‘holy of hollies’ is the special place inside, where the ark of the covenant resides.
The Zohar quotes this verse to teach us that there are differences and levels of ‘holiness’. The sacrifices that each one brings to the Altar connect to the holy Light but each one connects on different level.
The Zohar brings the example of the sacrifices that were done in the Holy Temple during the Holiday of Sukkot. Each day there were sacrifices of bulls to draw and send light to the 70 nations of the world. Each day had different connection and type of Light sent out to different nations.

Many people may participate in a same spiritual event but each one receives different light. We may sit quietly listening to the Torah reading on Shabbat but each one in the congregation receives that light differently. Some may get just a little bit because they made some effort to come. Some may even lose light because they disturbed other people in their connection. Some may receive the full Light from the reading because they had the vessel, the desire and the pure consciousness to receive the light of the Torah and the specific Shabbat.

The farther and deeper you go with your connection the greater the ‘holiness’ of your connection. One important tool to achieve that is to protect the eyes from looking at others in order to keep the inner consciousness and focus. This should be together with total silence during the spiritual connection. Some people enjoy coming to the synagogues for weekly social meeting and catch up with the latest gossip. I suggest to the leaders of such communities to announce one hour before or after the connection for socializing and exchange of hugs and drinks.

The veil that was between the holy and holy of hollies is called פָּרֹכֶת and the numerical value of it is 700. This indicates that in order to go inside the holy of hollies we need full connection to the seven Sefirot of Malchut and Zeir Anpin (Chessed, Gevurah, Tiferet, Netzach, Hod and Yessod).

Leviticus 4:6
“And the priest shall dip his finger in the blood, and sprinkle of the blood seven times before YHVH, in front of the veil (פָּרֹכֶת) of the sanctuary”

There are deep secrets in this verse and the explanation is long. I am including it for the greater spiritual connection to the ‘veil’, פָּרֹכֶת of the holy of hollies.
