Zohar Vayetze
Continued from previous DZ

Rabbi Yosei explains that “Jacob went out” relates to the process of the exile. In the beginning, the Light comes from Binah and Jacob, that is the aspect of Zeir Anpin, took it to Beer Sheba. This place is ‘The well of Seven’ that is the Malchut, built from the Light of Zeir Anpin. Jacob then went to Haran, which is the Malchut of the Klipot (negative side).
The Zohar settles all the different explanations quoting this verse

Genesis 28:11
“וַיִּפְגַּע בַּמָּקוֹם וַיָּלֶן שָׁם, כִּי-בָא הַשֶּׁמֶשׁ, וַיִּקַּח מֵאַבְנֵי הַמָּקוֹם, וַיָּשֶׂם מְרַאֲשֹׁתָיו; וַיִּשְׁכַּב, בַּמָּקוֹם הַהוּא.”
“He reached a certain place and spent the night there because the sun had set. He took from the stones from the place, put it there at his head, and lay down in that place. ”

Jacob went out to Haran but arrived to the place of the future Holy Temple. That place is the ‘middle point’ of Creation and the source of Light to the world. This point creates balance in the world.

Jacob completed the circuit of energy. He took the Light of Binah from the Right, brought it to the Left, and formed the Central column. He found that certain place, which is the root of the central column. It nourishes the entire world. Jacob created returning Light that opened the gates of heavens for him to see his future generations. He merited seeing the heavens open for him with the dream about the angels.

Jacob made a strong connection to Zeir Anpin when he took twelve stones from that place. He revealed the power of the Hebrew letters because he was at the source of Creation. He made connection to his future wives, Lea (Binah) and Rachel (Malchut).

The words “וַיֵּצֵא יַעֲקֹב” “Jacob went out” are the first two of the Portion. The deeper secrets relate to the Final Redemption, a process that began when Jacob ‘arrived’ to the place.
These secrets will be revealed in the next DZ studies.
