The Zohar tells us that the Torah is loved by God, and wherever the words of Torah are heard the Holy One Blessed be He and his armies of angels come to listen and dwell with the people who read and study it, giving them blessings and protection.
The following verse is the seventh verse after the Ten Commandments and it tells us about its importance.
“ in every place where I cause My name to be mentioned I will come unto you and bless you.”
The precepts, ‘Mitzvah’ of the Torah are opportunities for us to make connection to the YHVH name and draw the promised blessings.
“Or else let him take hold of My strength, that he may make peace with Me; yea, let him make peace with Me.”
‘My Strength’ is another name for the Torah as it said in Psalms 29:11
“YHVH will give strength to His people; YHVH will bless His people with peace”
The study of Torah is a precept on the highest level. Rabbi Akiva, the teacher of Rabbi Shimon, said that since the Torah came from God every letter is significant and should be studied. Every letter in the Torah reveals aspect of Creation and the governing system. The study of the Torah reveals this light and provides connection to God.
“This Book of Torah shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”
The study of Torah is the base for everything. Without following the Torah there’s no wisdom or success.
We have to merit to be close to the Zohar that delivers for us the highest level of Torah study.
