Proverbs 30:20
“ כֵּן, דֶּרֶךְ אִשָּׁה– מְנָאָפֶת:
אָכְלָה, וּמָחֲתָה פִיהָ; וְאָמְרָה, לֹא-פָעַלְתִּי אָוֶן”
“This is the way of an adulterous woman: She eats and wipes her mouth, And says, “I have done no wrong.””
The ‘adulterous woman’ is the angel of death who tempt us with not-earned pleasures of this world. He claims that he has done nothing wrong because it was us who failed to resist the temptation. The judgment of us is just because it’s our actions that brought ‘death’ aspect upon us.

When the nation fell with the sin of the Golden Calf that we read about it in the previous portion of Ki Tisa, the angel of death came among the people. When Moses saw that he called all the people.
Exodus 35:1
“ וַיַּקְהֵל מֹשֶׁה, אֶת-כָּל-עֲדַת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל–וַיֹּאמֶר אֲלֵהֶם: אֵלֶּה, הַדְּבָרִים, אֲשֶׁר-צִוָּה יְהוָה, לַעֲשֹׂת אֹתָם.”
“Then Moses assembled all the congregation of the sons of Israel, and said to them, “These are the things that the LORD has commanded you to do:”

The Zohar reveals that he called all the men to separate them from the women for their protection. He immediately connected them to the holiness of Shabbat and asked them to give donation for the building of the Holy Tabernacle.
We learn here that if we failed, we should not cry about it and accept the failure but rise up and do the positive things. First action is to keep distance from anything that could get us in more ‘trouble’, then connect to the Light and holiness through precepts and acts of giving to channels that reveal Light.

When we lose or fail to achieve success, we experience the aspect of death.

Keeping our connection to the Light helps us to avoid negative situation with aspect of death. Those who study Zohar every day have less of such negativity in their lives. They may have challenges in their lives but those are related to their tikkun process.

Study everyday, and divide your tithe into small amounts so you can give every week and reveal Light that pushes away the darkness of the negative side and its messengers of death.
