36. וּבְצַלְאֵל בֶּן אוּרִי בֶן חוּר לְמַטֵּה יְהוּדָה וְגוֹ’. אָמַר רַבִּי יְהוּדָה, הֲרֵי נֶאֱמַר שֶׁהֲרֵי בְּצַלְאֵל הָיָה מִצַּד הַיָּמִין, וְהוּא הִתְקִין תִּקּוּן הַכֹּל. וְעוֹד, שֶׁהֲרֵי יְהוּדָה הוּא שַׁלִּיט וּמֶלֶךְ עַל כָּל שְׁאָר הַשְּׁבָטִים וּמִמֶּנּוּ יָצָא מִי שֶׁהִתְקִין אֶת כָּל הַמִּשְׁכָּן. בְּצַלְאֵל, הֱרֵי פֵּרְשׁוּהָ בְּצֵל אֵל. וּמִיהוּ בְּצֵל אֵל? זֶה יָמִין . וְעוֹד, מִצַּד זֶה הִתְקִין הַכֹּל, וְיָרַשׁ חָכְמָה לַעֲשׂוֹת כָּל מַעֲשֶׂה.
37. וְאִתּוֹ אָהֳלִיהָב בֶּן אֲחִיסָמָךְ לְמַטֵּה דָן. זֶהוּ מִצַּד הַשְּׂמֹאל, זֶהוּ מִצַּד הַדִּין הַקָּשֶׁה (הַקָּדוֹשׁ), וַהֲרֵי פֵּרְשׁוּהָ שֶׁהֲרֵי מִשְּׁנֵי צְדָדִים אֵלּוּ נַעֲשָׂה הַמִּשְׁכָּן וְהִתְתַּקֵּן בָּהֶם לְהִתְקַשֵּׁר בָּהֶם לִהְיוֹת בֵּין יָמִין וּשְׂמֹאל, וַהֲרֵי נִתְבָּאֵר וּפֵרְשׁוּהָ.

Exodus 38:22
“וּבְצַלְאֵל בֶּן-אוּרִי בֶן-חוּר, לְמַטֵּה יְהוּדָה, עָשָׂה, אֵת כָּל-אֲשֶׁר-צִוָּה יְהוָה אֶת-מֹשֶׁה.”
“Now Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, made all that YHVH had commanded Moses.”

The name Bezalel, “בצל אל”, means ‘in the shadow of God’. The last two letters ‘אל’ are one of God’s name that represents the aspect of Chessed and the Right column. Bezalel was also from the tribe of Yehuda, who was a king and leader of all the tribes. His purity, strong roots and the soul, that was from the Right column, enabled him to channel the Light in his work of building the Holy Tabernacle.

Exodus 38:23
“וְאִתּוֹ, אָהֳלִיאָב בֶּן-אֲחִיסָמָךְ לְמַטֵּה-דָן–חָרָשׁ וְחֹשֵׁב; וְרֹקֵם, בַּתְּכֵלֶת וּבָאַרְגָּמָן, וּבְתוֹלַעַת הַשָּׁנִי, וּבַשֵּׁשׁ”
“With him was Oholiab the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, an engraver and a skillful workman and a weaver in blue and in purple and in scarlet material, and fine linen.”

Oholiav assisted him and he was from the tribe of Dan, a name that represents judgment and Left column.

The two sides needed to work together in order to have the Holy Tabernacle in the middle, channeling the Light to the world in balance.

Because the world of correction is in a state of temporary existence, it must have movement. It happens when desires and ‘laws’ are expressed in the world. God ‘commanded’ Moses and he chose the right people to do complete the important task.
The Torah ‘laws’ are the purest form of judgment and when we follow them we are able to bring Light and ‘movement’, which are aspect of life to the world.

God started the process of Creation by creating a big desire. This desire was the empty space that was created when the Light distanced itself from the middle point. That was the creation of the Left of all left. This empty space with ‘lack’ of Light ‘invites’ the Light to return into the space in a process that defined the Ten Sefirot, time and all that followed.

This is the deep secret of ‘יוצר אור ובורא חושך’, ‘form light and create darkness.’. It would be too long to explain this aspect in this short study.

Without desire, a person would gradually die inside until ‘darkness’ would take over his soul. Pain and lack of Light in a person’s life allow darkness to get a stronger hold and negative influence that could be transformed when desiring the Light.
The ideal state of existence in this world until the final correction is to work on our desires, making them pure to the point where all we desire is just more Light. Pain and suffering will also take the shape of Light and the pain will become just another experience of Light. That is the balance of Right and Left that will enable us to survive the fight against darkness. We will see the end of the aspect of time as we know it. There will be no longer a ‘temporary’ state of existence.
