Apologies but the audio for this Zohar will not be available until tomorrow. To provide an auditory connection to the Zohar, I have included three paragraphs from Beshalach, to connect to the energy of life and miracles.

Zohar Vayikra
Continued from previous DZ

The Zohar provides another explanation for “Eat, friends…” It tells us that when the Shechinah entered the Holy Tabernacle, like a bride under the Chuppah (the wedding ceremony canopy), the Israelites connected fully to the Upper Light and all the spiritual levels in order to enjoy blessings and joy.

Exodus 25:8
“וְעָשׂוּ לִי, מִקְדָּשׁ; וְשָׁכַנְתִּי, בְּתוֹכָם”
“And let them make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell in them”

When the Holy Tabernacle was ready, God invited Moses to make the initial connection. Moses is the channel of  the Light which God prepared for all the Israelites. He was the first priest to initiate the Holy Tabernacle and the connection between God to the people on earth. Moses will also be the one to bring Mashiach down to the world and make the final and lasting connection of the Light to this world.

Songs 2:12
“הַנִּצָּנִים נִרְאוּ בָאָרֶץ, עֵת הַזָּמִיר הִגִּיעַ; וְקוֹל הַתּוֹר, נִשְׁמַע בְּאַרְצֵנוּ”
“Blossoms appear on earth. The time of singing has come, and the turtle dove’s cooing is heard in our land.”

Rabbi Shimon explains that the world was originally created with judgment. Because of the Tzimtzum, the vessels of Zeir Anpin and Malchut were not properly fit for the Upper Light. Therefore, the Creator decided to add the aspect of mercy to the process and elevated Malchut to Binah to enable the vessel to receive the Light. And after the Light had left the vessel on its way down, the vessel retained the ‘memory’ and ‘experience’ of the Light, and its desire for it could help it connect and hold the Light.

After the Tzimtzum, everything existed in a potential state, needing for the Light to bring things to life. And only when Malchut elevated to Binah, thus receiving the Light, could everything  blossom and bear fruit.

Because we no longer have the Holy Temple, we live in a state of constant judgment. At this time, all we have is Shabbat and the holidays in order to connect to Binah. Another special gift is the Light of Rabbi Shimon, the “Holy candle,” as referred to by Moses, the “Faithful Shepherd,” in the Zohar.

The letter H of Malchut is the same as the letter H of Binah. The lower one has no Light and thus must elevate itself to Binah in order to receive the energy of life.
