. Zohar Behar
The Zohar lists here different precepts made in the Holy Temple to bring Light to the world.
The first one mentioned in previous Zohar paragraph was to give the Levites cities to live in because they didn’t participate in the sin of the Golden Calf.
The second is the making of a special anointing oil. This holy oil was first made by Moses from olive oil and some other special plants (Exodus 30:23). It was used first to ‘anoint’ the Holy Tabernacle and its vessels and tools.
The oil was used later only to anoint Priests, kings and prophets. They were called ‘mashaich’, a word that means ‘anointed’.
In the song ‘Bar Yochai’ that we sing on Friday night, Rabbi Shimon is described as one who was anointed with the Holy Oil like priests and kings.
The song also praises those who study it and those who know the secrets are like priest.
Hebrew clock is temporary out. We will update, add more features.
We use an external service that provide us with user's city and local time. Having the clock on the main page means costly requests to that service.
The clock will be moved to a separate page, displaying it on demand.
