Zohar Balak
Continued from previous DZ

The child shocked the learned rabbis with his wisdom. They asked him for his father’s name but he was silent for a moment. Then he went to his mother consulting with her if to reveal the name of his father to them. His mother told him that he already checked them and he should know what to do. He replied that he didn’t find them worthy.
The child went back to them wondering why they asked about his father when he already left the world? He told them that and revealed to them that when his father sees holy people walking on the road he comes with a donkey walking behind them to carry the yoke of Torah. He told them that if they were holy people then how come they didn’t see him walking behind them.
Because they didn’t merit to see his father on the road and they didn’t read the Shema prayer on time ת he won’t tell them who was his father.

The child was a very high soul. He was spiritually connected to his father, Rav Hamnuna Saba, and could see beyond the realm of this world.
The two righteous rabbis realized the spiritual level of the child and said that he was not a regular human child.
