Zohar Balak
The blessing over the meal starts with “הב לן ונברך’ “Give us and we bless”
Then we continue with “We bless that we ate from his and by his goodness we have life”
The purpose of the ‘invitation’ is connect the Shechina that is with us in the lower world with the higher level of Zeir Anpin.
If is important to understand that the food is matter of death. It has a temporary state of life energy. Everything we eat is basically ‘killed’ before we eat it, even a fresh fruit that was just picked from the tree goes immediately into the process of decay and expiration. Eating the flesh of an animal comes after it was killed and butchered, sometimes it is dead and frozen for a long period of time.
Each food product has death aspect. Our body was constructed from ‘material’ of this world and life was given to us through the water in the mother’s womb. When we connect to our source of life, which is the Torah, we have continuation in the world to come otherwise we are in the process of expiration.
To sustain the body we are dependent on the physical matter of this world.
The kosher laws in the Torah protect us from connecting to undesired energies. The food may have long list of good nutritional (physical) but the energy that attached to it place dark and ‘death’ marks on the soul. Remember the death stinks and when Mashiach comes we want to smell at our best.

I highly recommend to stop eating all non-kosher food, especially meat. I would recommend to minimize or stop completely the consumption of meat even kosher meat unless it is vital for the health of your body.

Fish doesn’t require proper slaughter and it can even be eaten raw but the type of fish/sea food is important. ‘Bottom feeders/crawlers’ are not kosher because they feed on waste and their energy is negative and death. A good lobster could be very tasty but also very deadly. Consider that it becomes poison the moment it is killed. The energy of death is very strong in shellfish like lobster. That is why lobsters are cooked or steamed alive. The cooking kill the bacteria of death in the lobster’s flesh before its spread.

Before you eat anything, pause and meditate to connect to the life force that’s in the food. This would be good step to draw the life force from the good into your body.

Never make a blessing on non-kosher food. It would bring judgment instead of blessings. If you are in doubt just meditate and ask the Light to bring out only the good from the food you eat.

I am aware that many of you may have difficult times to change eating habits and avoid food that the body enjoys for a long time. I know the feeling because I went through the same thing about 30 years ago when I stopped eating non-kosher food. The cravings go away pretty quick especially when you realize that your desire for light is greater than you desire for food.

The desire of the body to be satisfied is very strong. Feed it with light of life and not death. You maybe a great person and do good for others but the food you eat affects the scent of your soul (See DZ 2176).
