Adam was given Light from the supernal levels and all the good of the Garden of Eden but after the sin he lost everything.
God gives us gifts that manifest in different ways. Some have talents, special skills, power to influence others, and or money. All are given opportunities to do good by following the ways of the Torah.

Ecclesiastes 5:12
“There is a grievous evil which I have seen under the sun: riches being hoarded by their owner to his hurt.”

The Zohar quotes this verse to teach us that wealth is given to people as a tool to test them on how they will use it. They should use it for improving and feeding the world around them. They should not take pride in owning their wealth because it’s temporary and it can be turned against them.
The greater the gift, the greater the purpose and work that is attached to it.
Proverbs 10:22
“It is the blessing of the LORD that makes rich, And He adds no sorrow to it.”
The blessings of God are what make us rich. When we keep our connection to YHVH we enjoy the wealth without loss and sorrow.
Proverbs 23:4,5
“Do not weary yourself to gain wealth, Cease from your consideration of it.”
“When you set your eyes on it, it is gone. For wealth certainly makes itself wings Like an eagle that flies toward the heavens.”

Wealth can disappear like a bird crossing the sky. It can be here in one moment and disappear in no time.

Jeremiah 9:22
“Thus says YHVH, “Let not a wise man boast of his wisdom, and let not the mighty man boast of his might, let not a rich man boast of his riches;”

We can’t take pride in the gifts given to us by God. Wisdom, strength, and wealth are all from him and without keeping with the Light of the Torah our wisdom can fail us, our strength can be drained, and our wealth can be lost.

Proverbs 30:8
“Keep deception and lies far from me, Give me neither poverty nor riches; Feed me with the food that is my portion,”
King Solomon was very rich and had from the Light of Adam. He learn that it’s better to be happy from what you have rather than go for the illusion of material existence.
God gives us what we need for our personal correction process. The goal is to correct ourselves, not to be beyond that but the better and pure version of the self.

Proverbs 22:4
“The reward of humility and the fear of YHVH Are riches, honor and life.”
With the Light in us we can have all that we need.

Proverbs 30:9
“That I not be full and deny You and say, “Who is YHVH?” Or that I not be in want and steal, And profane the name of my God.”

The risk that comes with wealth is about having the sense of self importance and greatness. It makes a person feel invincible and forget that everything is from God.
