“And YHVH God said: ‘It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a help meet for him ”
The Zohar brings another aspect of this verse and explains that the ‘help’ is the body that was created to serve the soul. It includes the form of good and bad so it will have the freedom to choose between them to earn rewards or receive ‘punishment’.
Deuteronomy 30:15
“רְאֵה נָתַתִּי לְפָנֶיךָ הַיּוֹם, אֶת-הַחַיִּים וְאֶת-הַטּוֹב, וְאֶת-הַמָּוֶת, וְאֶת-הָרָע”
“See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil,”
Without having the two sides, man would’ve been like an animal.
In the realm of Tree of Knowledge we must have the opposites to make choices. God gave us his suggestion in the following verse from Deuteronomy 30:19
“הַעִדֹתִי בָכֶם הַיּוֹם, אֶת-הַשָּׁמַיִם וְאֶת-הָאָרֶץ–הַחַיִּים וְהַמָּוֶת נָתַתִּי לְפָנֶיךָ, הַבְּרָכָה וְהַקְּלָלָה; וּבָחַרְתָּ, בַּחַיִּים–לְמַעַן תִּחְיֶה, אַתָּה וְזַרְעֶךָ”
“I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that I have set before thee life and death, the blessing and the curse; therefore choose life, that you may live, you and your seed”
We have to choose between the heavens (following the spiritual teaching of the Torah and Zohar) and earth (Falling to the gravity of only material comfort), life (continuation, sharing) and death (desire for the self, drawing judgment), blessings (Feeling the light in all your ways, support of the GPS*) and curses (disconnection and chaos).
Choosing life doesn’t mean that you are ‘saved’ and free from working your Tikkun process. Choosing life means walking the path that leads to life in the Final Redemption, in this life or the next.

Are we going to see mashiach and if yes what do we have to look out for?
If the King tells you that he will certainly visit you anytime between today and some time in the future BUT if the house is not clean he can not stay with you. It doesn’t matter if the house is big or small. what is important for him is the cleanliness.
The question is when would you start cleaning the house?
What we need to look out for is to keep our soul cleanse from all negativity and desire for the self. THAT’S IT. No weather reports no red carpets, not even a white donkey.
It doesn’t matter if it will be today, tomorrow or next life time.
Dear Zion
so we have to choose
between what is good for our soul
and what isn’t ?
If i understand well
Shavouah tov
Blessings & LOve
Light always
( I I )
Thank you Zion for saying so clear words. That we have first to cleanse our soul. I made a commitment to myself for scanning in the Zohar for 30 minutes, sometimes at midnight sometimes in the morning just after I opened my eyes and jump out of my bed , and before I`m starting my life in the 1% world and also very helpfully, for me personally, to be involved in the Zohar Projekt volonteering team and to place Zohar books.
Zion, why is it wrong to have desires for the self? If nobody had ‘selfish’ desires then why would people work hard, build a house, marry a partner they desired etc.
Helping others is great, but the truth is that we all primarily work for our own benefit and enjoyment -- and I see that as being completely right and proper. Communism has never worked in recent times, because it goes against nature.
Please correct me if I am wrong or if my views are limited.
Thanks,
Chris
Dear Chris
I hope you don’t mind me giving you an answer as well. My believe is that unfortunately this world is based on lies. We are being brainwashed in desiring the ‘wrong things’ such as material things for ourselves only.
We are not here to serve our physical body and physical needs but to correct our soul, as Zion explained previously.
In the afterlife no one will care of how much you have achieved career and financially wise in this world.
We are in this world for only a very short period of time and should spend the time of using it for the things that are ‘true’ and do really matter such as getting rid of your negative traits and selfish needs. Ambition and diligent and working hard is a very good thing but only to do so if you are doing it for the right purpose, such as earning money and then giving it to charity. To purchase have a big house so you can invite and accommodate guests. To have a car so you can give people a lift that can not drive etc. ……..
G’d bless and best wishes
Daliah
Hi Daliah,
Thanks for your response, but I don’t really agree with your opinions. I think it will matter in the afterlife how much we achieved with our lives and the opportunities that were presented to us. I don’t feel God will be sympathetic to somebody who was lazy and wasted his talents.
Also, I still see nothing wrong with enjoying the fruits of my own labours. Whether I choose to share them with my fellows is my choice and not their right.
Thanks and BW,
Chris
I should say ‘Desire for the self ALONE’ as Rabbi Ashlag defined the negative aspect of desire.
The level of desire define and determine the size of the vessel negative or positive.
I explained to my daughters (7 and 9 Years old) that selfishness is like the color black that take all the aspects of light and ‘stop’ it from its path to continue further. This is a ‘death’ state. The color white reflects all colors (7 as the seven sefirot) and this is the ultimate sharing when leaving nothing for the self.
The result of sharing acts reveal the brightness of the vessel.
Restriction on the desire for the self alone is like pushing away the light and reveal it.
So ‘Neo’, Would you take the white or the black pill?
The answer is in God’s suggestion in the article above.
Love to all.
Don’t get me wrong Zion, I think helping people is great and a good thing to do.
BUT, I still refuse to concede that there is anything inherently wrong in desiring good things for oneself and working for one’s own profit and benefit. In fact, I think that leads to life and not death.
I think there’s a fine line between selfishness and fighting for a better life. I would pop both pills into my mouth and spit out the one that tasted like poison lol.
Thanks and BW,
Chris
We are in EGYPT. The world arround us is tottaly immerse in teh desire for material comfort and it became the norm.
The result is that the people with great vessels and desires control the world trade, manufacturing and banks and make us slave to their desicions. we are the ones behind bars, getting ‘penuts’ from them. They can destroy countries with one decision (Greece) bring chaos and instability to any parts of the world. Even the USA government is dependent on the ‘Phraohs’ of the world that hold the world food under their control.
Who is happy with few penuts a day for 120 years (or less). There is a great freedom and total flfilment out there BUT we MUST trust the lighht, follow the system and get out to the desert. The Zohar is the true spiritual leader we have in this world.
I am carefull to bring the Torah source and the Zohar explanation together with my commentary so people can connect to the source and free their soul from the bondage of the material world.
After the process of the coming of Mashiach is completed, we will enjoy unlimitted fulfilment in the material. There will be no negativity and no lack. The only ticket to show before moving to this world is an elevated soul. Money can not buy these tickets.
People with money should find ways to maximize the sharing action with their money. They should keep and protect the flow that bestwed on them from above but never stop sharing it and supporting the people in need.
Our focus should be first on cleansing and expanding the soul in every action we do, even on the way to be rich.
Earning money using banking ‘games’ and stock market manipulation is negative. Manufacturing good and benefiting products and services is the way to grow positively.
Obviousley there are more open questions but I don’t have the time at this moment. feel free to ask follow up questions.
Shalom,
sometimes situations of darkness happen because the limits between good and bad are quite confused, often because the ego when acting as a spoiled child.
A good tool we learn in Kabbalah is to avoid from evil tongue -- lashon hara, and evil eye -- ayin hara, “cleaning up the house”. It draws more Light, helping us to do better choices in life.
Shavua tov and lots of light to all,
Lea
Thank you.
This came at a time when this was what I really needed to hear. I am finding the message to be a very powerful one.
Thank you Zion. I think I understand it now it will not be a visual sign to know when THE KING will be coming but merely a feeling if your own soul is ready to perceive? Am I on the right path? I think I somehow can give up my ego but it is difficult to know where to start. Do you give all your mony away? Do you give all your time away to do acts of kindness and don’t leave time for studies? I am not sure, please advise me. G’d bless Daliah
Money is the energy that drives the world we live in (Egypt). A person should not give all his money away unless it is done to save his life fro certain death.
There is a principal of ‘A poor is consider as dead’ if a person let go of all his monet then he is disconnected from the physical death and can merit a additional soul and new life.
A perosn should do the max he can do toward the freedom of the soul. Study zohar for the soul. Work and share whatever you can without weakening your self spiritually (wating time on people withuot the vessel to understand what you are talking about) or materially (giving too much)
Zion, now I understand where you are coming from and my thoughts coincide with yours. Thank you for taking the time to clarify things.
For years, I’ve always thought that like the Godfather said we’re just puppets on a string under the control of the Pharaohs of the world and dancing to their tunes.
However, there’s nothing even governments can do against such tyranny let alone mere individuals -- or maybe that’s what they’d have us believe.
We live in a material world and need food and money to survive, so how can just spiritual things lead us to freedom?
Thanks again,
Chris
A good soul can grow in a health body. I am not advocating total dedication to spirituallity and the light. The opposite is true.
We are in the material world to work and interact with others. This is our tikkun process. When we connect spiritually to the Zohar we elevated our soul and knows better how to deal with the tikkun and the people around us. We learn to use financial success to share and benefit others by creating more channels of money we can help more people. The focus is to use our increasing power to help more people. A rich person can do it by supporting other that do that while he is busy getting more energy to support the others. He doesn’t have to be a Zohar scholar but connected to keep the light with him and channel it when empowering others in the positive direction.
Even though I would love to be 100% dedicated to spiritual study and sharing I have to keep my full day job (7am to 5:30 pm) to pay the rent and bring food home. But I use all my available time for study and sharing. I study and wrire while commuting to work. I go to bed when I fall asleep…
I do it with thangs to God and love to all.
Each person should find the sweet path to balance it all.
Thanks Zion,
My opinion on the way to help others are the same as yours.
BW,
Chris
as the great Kabalist Rav Ashlag said
there is nothing wrong
with the desire itself
but the vessel keli
we recieve the desire
is so limited
by ego not knowing
wich direction ……
I think the most of us are so busy with themself, that we don`t see and feel what our nearest neighbor is needy for. Therfore we have to remember why we came to this world. Rabbi Ashlag explains: to LEARN to love our neighbour like ourself. Maybe we get it in this liftime or we need more and more lifetimes. I
yes to love our neigbhour
ahavat Rinam
Uncondtionnal LOve
May we all do it today
Amen
Zion shalom,
can we understand as:
“reward” as freedom(?) -- when we choose the “good” side, we become the unique responsible about our acts. It can be uneasy and frightened, but the result is liberty and strenght.
“punishment” as slavery(?) -- when we choose the “bad” side, it can be easy because there is not own responsibility involved. At the moment we fail we become victims and we can blame others.
Todah,
Lea
Yes, the reward is freedom. ‘Punishment’ is falling deeper in the the desire for the self alone together with feeling constant lack (of anything).
Many thanks for your promp reply.
Lots of Light to all,
Lea
When you call someone “lazy”…you are already judging him or her. But they are a part of yourself. Consider…
With due respect and all my love!
Dear Sylvia,
Thanks for your kind reply, but I don’t see how others are part of me. We are each responsible for our own actions. I’m not harsh on others, but I need to be harsh with myself in order to make progress. And the truth is harsh…….
With all due respect and love too!
Chris
