Yom Kippur is considered Shabbat of Shabbats, שבת שבתון.

From the quotes of great Kabbalists below we understand that one hour of Kabbalah study is more that one year of study of the simple/revealed Torah.  The second quote below tells us that one hour of Zohar study on Shabbat is like 1000 times on regular days. Using this formula we can see how important is the study of Zohar and Kabbalah and especially on Shabbat.

On Yom Kippur it is more than double and Kabbalists reveal that the study of Zohar on the night of Yom Kippur (after Kol Nidre) has awesome spiritual value.

Yom Kippur is a Holy Day for the entire world, especially for those who believe in the Bible.

Applying physical restriction and reading/scanning/studying Zohar are the ultimate connections on Yom Kippur and it gives us an opportunity to ‘catch-up’ with the Zohar study and  fill the gaps we created during the year.

During Yom Kippur services have a Zohar book (Tikunei Zohar or any) and read from it between prayers.

I wish you all G’mar Chatima Tova and may you all be inscribed in the Book of Life.
