Exodus 23:17
“שָׁלֹשׁ פְּעָמִים, בַּשָּׁנָה–יֵרָאֶה, כָּל-זְכוּרְךָ, אֶל-פְּנֵי, הָאָדֹן יְהוָה”
“Three times in the year all thy males shall appear before the Lord YHVH.”
This is the source of the precept of making a pilgrimage to Jerusalem. The three times are Passover, Shavuot, and Sukkot. These holidays represent the three columns of the Tree of Life. Connecting to the source of light in Jerusalem benefits us.

You can find some good info on the Internet about this but most of them do not explain the Kabbalistic aspect that is related to the connection to the three columns.

The holiday of Sukkot that we are celebrating now (until this Wednesday, October 19th, 2011) is the aspect of the RIGHT column. The light of Chessed is radiating from Jerusalem, the place of the Holy temple.
I provide a link here to a live cam of the western wall in Jerusalem so you can make a connection.

The picture below shows the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. I edited the existing building on it. Please meditate and imagine seeing the Third Temple in its place uniting the world under one God without the separation that religiosity brought on us.

Here is a link to a website with many Jerusalem photo http://www.jerusalemshots.com/en (this is not a spiritual link but nice photos of Jerusalem to enjoy)

Love to all,
