Pinchas 209, 210
The Ten Commandments appear twice in the Torah. First time in Exodus 20 and the second is in Deuteronomy 5.
Between the two, the commandments related to Shabbat have a little word change.
Exodus 20:7
“ זָכוֹר אֶת-יוֹם הַשַּׁבָּת, לְקַדְּשׁוֹ.”
“Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.”

Deuteronomy 5:11
“שָׁמוֹר אֶת-יוֹם הַשַּׁבָּת, לְקַדְּשׁוֹ, כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוְּךָ, יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ”
“Observe the sabbath day, to keep it holy, as the LORD thy God commanded thee.”

The first one tells us to ‘remember’ the Shabbat and the second asks us to ‘observe’ (keep) the Shabbat.

Rabbi Pinchas ben Yair tells us that זָכוֹר ‘remember’ is the aspect of male (זכר). It comes from the brain and Zeir Anpin to control, ‘observe’ שָׁמוֹר is the heart and the aspect of female, Malchut.

The heart is the element of fire in the body and it ‘burns’ the ‘offering’ to remove judgment from the physical level. This is the reason that when the heart stops, the body is left completely to judgment and is consumed by the other side.

Rabbi Shimon gives thanks to Rabbi Pinchas, his father in law, and adds that this is the secret of the sacrifices. The negative side connects to the liver and other inner parts of the body. The high priests used to remove them from the animal and then place them on the altar separately.

The flesh of the sacrifice is ‘enjoyed’ by the other side and with that judgments are sweetened. The consciousness of the person who brought the offering together with the meditation of the priest creates unification between Zeir Anpin and Malchut and connects to the Holy side.

We learn that the sacrifices were first made to feed the other side and make room for unification that draws the light to Malchut. From the aspect of the body, we feed the other side almost on a constant basis. What we need to do is to separate them from time to time in order to be able to draw pure light that benefits our body and soul. Pure consciousness and fasting increase the ‘fire’ in the body and consumes the other side. It clears the way for better spiritual connections.

The ultimate ‘burning’ of negativity is straight fasting for 72 hours (three full days). I do not recommend that without proper preparation and consultation and approval of a physician. Some righteous people do that to cleanse their body from all negativity while making themselves better and greater channels for the light.

We are just before Purim and we read in the scroll of Esther (4:16) that she asked her people to fast for three days and nights to remove the negativity that Haman was about to bring on them.

To achieve good results and control over negativity in your body and consciousness use the following guidelines that cover the four elements.
Earth – Feed your body only at scheduled times with food that is as close as possible to its natural state (less processed).
Water – Drink pure water, cleanse the body inside and out. Immerse in a Mikveh periodically.
Fire – Breathe and exercise to enrich the blood system and strengthen the heart
Air (Spirit) – Pray, meditate and study on scheduled times to bring the body and soul into complete balance.
