Zohar Chaye Sarah

Genesis 23:1
“וַיִּהְיוּ חַיֵּי שָׂרָה, מֵאָה שָׁנָה וְעֶשְׂרִים שָׁנָה וְשֶׁבַע שָׁנִים–שְׁנֵי, חַיֵּי שָׂרָה.”
“Now Sarah lived one hundred and twenty-seven years; these were the years of the life of Sarah.”

The Zohar explains that even though the Torah mentions the death of other women, Sarah’s death is mention in a unique way and the Torah portion was named after her.

Chaye Sarah, “חַיֵּי שָׂרָה”, means ‘the lives of Sarah’. Sarah was a reincarnation of Eve. She didn’t have a child until 90 years old to represent the building of the vessel with all the Sefirot of Light up to Malchut. She was taken by Abimelech, the King of Gerar and by Pharaoh, the king of Egypt. They wanted her but she had protection from God. She kept her purity and suffered pain of being away from her husband. This was a correction to the sin of Eve.

Sarah initiated the earthly connection to the Garden of Eden. Abraham buried her in the Cave of Machpelah that he bought for her resting place.

The special process that Abraham went through to buy the cave teaches us that there is a significance to where the person is buried. The righteous people are called living even when they are dead and buried. Their energy is pure and stays in this world to support us.

Jacob was another pure person and the Torah portion of ‘Vayechi’ is about his life. Also about the blessings that he gave to his children, about telling them their future and about his death. In both portions, the Zohar discusses deep secrets about death and after life.
The Zohar teaches us that this world is the world of lies. The righteous souls that leave it find themselves in the realm of truth and life.

Death is not something that we should fear. The only fear is about dying before completing our Tikkun process, leaving this world with impure soul. We should work today and every day on our soul correction until our last breath. When the soul breaks out of the illusionary world, it feels an amazing freedom and unlimited possibilities that will come to be in the world without negativity and work on the correction.
