Zohar Vayeshev
#51
Genesis 24:3
“וְאַשְׁבִּיעֲךָ–בַּיהוָה אֱלֹהֵי הַשָּׁמַיִם, וֵאלֹהֵי הָאָרֶץ: אֲשֶׁר לֹא-תִקַּח אִשָּׁה, לִבְנִי, מִבְּנוֹת הַכְּנַעֲנִי, אֲשֶׁר אָנֹכִי יוֹשֵׁב בְּקִרְבּוֹ”
“and I will make you swear by YHVH, the God of heaven and the God of earth, that you shall not take a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I live,”
‘And I will make you swear’ means that the ‘servant’ is dressed with seven upper lights that are the seven sefirot of Chessed to Malchut.
The word ‘swear’ ‘וְאַשְׁבִּיעֲךָ’ comes from the root ‘שבע’ that means ‘seven’.
The servant that connects to Yessod is dressed with the seven sefirot to achieve completion. ‘you shall not take a wife’ is the body that in in the ground and in the aspect of female awaits the light of the Resurrection.
Isaiah 26:19
“יִחְיוּ מֵתֶיךָ נְבֵלָתִי יְקוּמוּן הָקִיצוּ וְרַנְּנוּ שֹׁכְנֵי עָפָר כִּי טַל אוֹרֹת טַלֶּךָ וָאָרֶץ רְפָאִים תַּפִּיל”
“Your dead will live; Their corpses will rise. You who lie in the dust, awake and shout for joy, For your dew is as the dew of the dawn, And the earth will give birth to the departed spirits.”
‘The dead will rise’ is related to those who had the merit to be buried in Israel. They will be resurrected first. This is correct to the children of Israel, not to the dead from other nations that were buried in Israel.
‘Their corpses will rise’ is related to those who dies and buried outside the Land of Israel.
#52
‘you shall not take a wife for my son’ relates to the souls coming from the ‘river’ that is Binah. They come out from yessod that is the aspect of ‘sons’. The ‘wife’ is the aspect of the body and the ‘son’ is the soul.
‘the daughters of the Canaanites’ is the bodies of the idol worshipers that God will shake them out of the holy land as a person shake his prayer shawl from dirt.
Job 38:13
“לֶאֱחֹז, בְּכַנְפוֹת הָאָרֶץ; וְיִנָּעֲרוּ רְשָׁעִים מִמֶּנָּה”
“That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, And the wicked be shaken out of it?”
Lesson:
The Torah story tells about Abraham, sending his servant to find a wife for his son, Isaac. The Zohar reveals from this story the secrets of the souls connecting to the body and the importance of having a proper body for the soul.
We are at the end of the personal and global tikun process and we have left with the last and difficult process. When we close our eyes to be alone with our soul we can expose our true desires and what we can do without limitations. If we have positive thoughts than our soul is mostly corrected and if we have negative desires and thoughts then we are still in the correction process. We need to work hard and fast to correct that before Mashiach comes and God ‘shake’ the negative vessels from getting the rewards of the ‘Holy Land’.
