Songs 2:5
“סַמְּכוּנִי בָּאֲשִׁישׁוֹת רַפְּדוּנִי בַּתַּפּוּחִים כִּי חוֹלַת אַהֲבָה אָנִי”
“Sustain me with raisin cakes, comfort me with apples, Because I am lovesick.”
The Malchut/Shechina asking her children, the Israelites, to support her. When in exile that is the aspect of falling, the Shechina needs the spiritual sustenance and support. God promised to support all who are fallen.
Psalms 145:14
“סוֹמֵךְ יְהוָה לְכָל הַנֹּפְלִים וְזוֹקֵף לְכָל הַכְּפוּפִים”
“YHVH sustains all who fall And raises up all who are fallen down.”

The Hebrew word ‘אֲשִׁישׁוֹת’ (Pronounced ‘Ashishot’) incorrectly translated in English as ‘raisin cakes’. Rabbi Abraham Ibn Ezra in his commentary to Song of Songs 2:5 explains this word as a glass vessel for wine.
The Zohar explains that ‘Ashishot’ is the aspect of the patriarchs (three columns) that are filled with the ‘wine’ of the Torah that is the Light of Chokmah, coming from Binah. This light continues to Chessed, Gevurah and Tiferet that is the patriarchs and from them to Malchut with all the blessings that come from the upper light.
This is the support that the Shechina asks up to give her. Our studies of the ‘wine’ of the Torah from the Zohar give the support needed to continue the Light to the world, sustaining the Shechina until the coming of Mashiach that will establish a continuous channel of Light to Malchut.
