Zohar Balak
#122
The child explains that he is an only child to his mother and should get the cup to make blessings to the Holy One Blessed be He. Since he welcomed guests into his home and made an important study, he should make the blessings and before that he will explain the words he just said.
#123
Proverbs 11:26
“מֹנֵעַ בָּר יִקְּבֻהוּ לְאוֹם, וּבְרָכָה לְרֹאשׁ מַשְׁבִּיר”
The common English translation is far from the true meaning and I skip it to avoid confusion.
The word ‘בר’ is ‘בן’ = ‘son’
The word ‘לְאוֹם’ is read ‘לאם’ = ‘to the mother’ which refers to Malchut.
The Zohar explains this verse, telling us that those who prevent their child from receiving the blessings of Malchut are cursed, and blessing come upon the head of those who provide the teaching to follow the laws of the Torah.
Lesson:
Parents brought the child to life and the torah is the life force that empowers the continuation process of life. If a parent doesn’t educate his children with the ways of the Torah to draw light to this world, he blocks the continuation of the life force and bring darkness and curses instead of blessings.
