Zohar Balak
#124
Proverbs 30:4
“מִי עָלָה שָׁמַיִם וַיֵּרַד מִי אָסַף רוּחַ בְּחָפְנָיו מִי צָרַר מַיִם בַּשִּׂמְלָה מִי הֵקִים כָּל אַפְסֵי אָרֶץ מַה שְּׁמוֹ וּמַה שֶּׁם בְּנוֹ כִּי תֵדָע”
“Who has ascended into heaven and descended? Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has wrapped the waters in His garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is His name or His son’s name? Surely you know!”
‘What is His name or His son’s name?’ is the secret of his name, ‘שמו’, is in the numerical value that reveals the ‘will’,’רצון’ of Creation and the channel ‘צנור’ that is the provider of Light, which is Binah.
‘His son’ is Zeir Anpin that receives form Binah. Zeir Anpin is the Central Column, represented by Jacob who is called ‘Israel’. We are the children of Israel.
When God sent Moses to Pharaoh, he instructed him to say that we are his sons, firstborn son we are God’s first son because we come from the root and pure soul of Adam.
Exodus 4:22
“וְאָמַרְתָּ, אֶל-פַּרְעֹה: כֹּה אָמַר יְהוָה, בְּנִי בְכֹרִי יִשְׂרָאֵל.”
“Then you shall say to Pharaoh, ‘Thus says YHVH, “Israel is My son, My firstborn.”
We learned previously that the father is responsible for the education of his children because the father that is the aspect of ‘upper’ can provide for the ‘lower’, his children.
The Right and Left of Binah are called ‘Israel Sava’ and ‘Tevunah’ also ‘father’ and ‘Mother’. They provide for the child according to his merits, mercy or judgment.
#125
The Holy One Blessed be He judge those who prevent their children form the blessings that can be revealed in Malchut.
The Zohar explains “and blessing come upon the head of those who provide” (Balak #123) is for those who invites the people around the table and make the food blessings.
Genesis 42:6
“וְיוֹסֵף, הוּא הַשַּׁלִּיט עַל-הָאָרֶץ–הוּא הַמַּשְׁבִּיר, לְכָל-עַם הָאָרֶץ”
“And Joseph was ruler of all Egypt and in charge of providing to all the people of the land”
Joseph is the aspect of Yessod that channels the Light to the world. He became a ruler and provided for all the people of the land. The word ‘מַשְׁבִּיר’ that is used here and Proverbs 11:26 has the root ‘שבר’ that means ‘break’. When the light comes down with blessings, it breaks the forces of the other-side and clears the way for more blessings to come down upon the ‘provider’ in Malchut.
Lesson:
When we open channels of Light to this world, we receive blessings from the level of Binah. When we share, we become ‘providers’ and by that we draw blessings. Share and provide for others to have more. When you give, you actually receive.
Tithing is a Torah law that makes us ‘providers’ and open the channels from Binah to bring blessings and fulfilments upon us.
