Zohar vayetze
#67
Yessod and Malchut are two sefirot but they can be considered as one because of their close relations. Jacob called them “The Gate of Heaven”. Yessod is the gate between Malchut and Tiferet that is the central column and the Light. Yessod delivers sustenance from ‘heaven’ to Malchut and make it ‘fruitful’. When In unification, they are one.
Rabbi Yehuda heard a man with two children walking on the way and discussing deep Torah study. He joined them and listen. One of the children that discussed the above studies concluded and said that the people of the world don’t value the connection to Yessod that completes and nourishes Malchut. When he finished, his father kissed him.
#68
Rabbi Yehuda shared these studies with rabbi Shimon, saying that when he heard it, he cried and gave thanks to God for keeping the flow of wisdom to the world. He added that he continued walking with them into the city. By the time they got into the city the father found a match to marry his son.
The words of the study didn’t go idle and the son found a woman to make him a whole. After marriage he will follow with proper actions of connecting Yessod to Malchut.
#69
Rabbi Shimon said that these studies have secret wisdom and concealed more deeper meaning than what can be understood from the literal text. We cannot look at it as said by a child because the secrets come from the higher levels of wisdom.
Lesson;
Rabbi Shimon reminds us to always look behind the words of the studies taught in the Zohar. The stories are like garments covering the higher spiritual aspects and the light force that we are able to connect to.
The son discussed the levels and unification of Yessod/Zeir Anpin and Malchut (woman, the city) and as a result his father (Chokmah) found a match for him (complete spiritual elevation).
When the Zohar tells about walking from one place to another is not necessarily an actual walking. In most stories it’s about following a spiritual path/study to reveal new secrets and Light.
When we read the Zohar we connect to different levels of revelation of light. On the Daily Zohar we study paragraph by paragraph from all portions of the Zohar so we won’t miss any hidden light. I strongly suggest to follow the DZ studies and always go back if you miss a day or more. It would be even better if you can copy the entire week studies from the website into a document , print and repeat the studies on Shabbat.
If a woman sees in her dream a man behind a door (‘gate of heaven/Yessod’) then it’s a sign that she will meet a man that could be her husband. The same with man seeing a woman behind a door/gate.
