Zohar Vayechi
#80
Genesis 48:6
“”And your homeland where your offspring that have been born after them shall be yours; they shall be called by the names of their brothers in their inheritance.”
‘Shall be yours’ to mean that when all return to the Land of Israel, they will settle in their inheritance that the tribe they came from receive. Everyone according to their value, including converts.

Genesis 48:7
“”Now as for me, when I came from Paddan, Rachel died, to my sorrow, in the land of Canaan on the journey, when there was still some distance to go to Ephrath; and I buried her there on the way to Ephrath (that is, Bethlehem).””
Rabbi Aba opened and quoted Jeremiah 31:14,15
“Thus says YHVH, “A voice is heard in Ramah, Lamentation and bitter weeping. Rachel is weeping for her children; She refuses to be comforted for her children, because they are no more.””
“Thus says YHVH, “Restrain your voice from weeping And your eyes from tears; For there is a reward to your work,” declares YHVH, “And they returned from the land of the enemy.”
Rabbi Aba asked why the verse uses past tense ‘And they returned’ when the promise is for the future.

Rabbi Elazar explains that Zeir Anpin, YHVH will be revealed in the Final Redemption and will have complete unification with the Shechina. This is one aspect of ‘return’. Until the Final Redemption, Malchut is in a state of judgment and darkness. From the point of the Shechina we are considered as lost until we have continuous flow of light in the world. The Shechina dwells with us in Malchut to protect us and help us with our prayers and spiritual unifications. Those who keep the connection with the Shechina, have ‘returned from the land of the enemy’, where the enemy is the other-side that keeps us in darkness and in a ‘lost’ state.
Lesson;
As we explained in previous study, Rachel was buried in a visible place, on a main road leading to Jerusalem. The other matriarchs were concealed, buried in a Cave of the Machpelah. Rachel is our mother and she carries the pain for all of us the 12 tribes. Since Rachel completed the 12 tribes, she passed away and the Shechina took the protection over all of them, like a mother takes care over her home and children. (Zohar Vayetze #247, Vayishlach #173).
On the revelation day, the Shechina with the Holy One Blessed Be He would come to the Tomb of Rachel that would come out and rejoys for the end of exile.
