Zohar Teruma
Continued from previous DZ
#78
The first bird of Chessed started by telling the others to praise יה YH.
Psalms 113:1)
“הַלְלוּ יָהּ הַלְלוּ עַבְדֵי יְהוָה הַלְלוּ אֶת שֵׁם יְהוָה”
“Praise the LORD! (YH) Praise, O servants of YHVH, Praise the name of YHVH.”
The two letters יה YH represent Chokmah and Binah. Chessed is the first of the lower seven sefirot and it has the closest connection to the upper three Sefirot. It then gives it a pure force of sharing. The second bird of Gevurah, Left column makes a blessing.
Psalms 113:2
“יְהִי שֵׁם יְהוָה מְבֹרָךְ מֵעַתָּה וְעַד עוֹלָם”
“Blessed be the name of YHVH from this time forth and forever.”
Since left makes the major connection to Malchut, this blessing connects Malchut, ‘this time’ to ‘forever’ that is the upper three sefirot.
The bird of the middle column, Tiferet, continues;
Psalms 113:3
“מִמִּזְרַח שֶׁמֶשׁ עַד מְבוֹאוֹ מְהֻלָּל שֵׁם יְהוָה”
“From the rising of the sun to its setting The name of YHVH is to be praised.”
The sun rises in the east that is Tiferet and provides life force to the world. The appearance of the sun in the world breaks the control of the night. Those who wake up to connect to this light with their prayers benefit greatly from it.
Lesson
As explained in the previous study, the ‘bird’ is the aspect of light that comes from Chokmah. The description of the bird as ‘saying’ words, is the use of the Hebrew letters and words as vessels to draw the Light of Chokmah to this world.
‘Bird’, ‘צפור’ has the numerical value, 376, of the word ‘שלום’, ‘Peace’. Mashiach that comes from the ‘Bird’s Nest’ (See DZ previous study) would bring the Final Peace to the world.
The three verses from Psalms 113 that the ‘birds’ use in the morning are the same first verses that we sing at the beginning of the Halel prayer. The Halel (means ‘Praise’) is a set of Psalms that we recite in the morning of every Rosh Chodesh and holidays. Only on Passover, we recite the Halel at the night of the Seder because there’s no aspect of ‘darkness’ on that night. The Halel starts with these three verses to connect us to the three columns of the Tree of Life. Then the three ‘birds’ sing for us, meaning channeling the Light of Chokmah to Malchut.
