When Moses was ‘attracted’ to the Burning Bush, God gave him the mission to lead the children of Israel out of Egypt. Moses asked for guidance on how to reintroduce to the redemption process to them.
Exodus 3:13
“יֹּאמֶר מֹשֶׁה אֶל הָאֱלֹהִים הִנֵּה אָנֹכִי בָא אֶל בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְאָמַרְתִּי לָהֶם אֱלֹהֵי אֲבוֹתֵיכֶם שְׁלָחַנִי אֲלֵיכֶם וְאָמְרוּ לִי מַה שְּׁמוֹ מָה אֹמַר אֲלֵהֶם.”
“Then Moses said to God, “Behold, I am going to the sons of Israel, and I will say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you.’ Now they may say to me, ‘What is His name?’ What shall I say to them?”
The Zohar reveals that the Israelites knew the YHVH name. It is shown in the verse after “they may say to me…”. The last letters of ‘What is His name?’, ‘לִי מַה שְּׁמוֹ מָה’ spell the יהוה YHVH name. Because the Israelites didn’t forget the YHVH name and cried to him for salvation, they merited the miracles and wonders that lead to their Exodus.

Exodus 35:5
“קְחוּ מֵאִתְּכֶם תְּרוּמָה לַיהוָה כֹּל נְדִיב לִבּוֹ יְבִיאֶהָ אֵת תְּרוּמַת יְהוָה זָהָב וָכֶסֶף וּנְחֹשֶׁת.”
“’Take from among you a contribution to YHVH; whoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it as YHVH’S contribution: gold, silver, and bronze,”
When a person wishes to follow the words of God, this desire comes up first in his heart that is the source of life in the body. The desire then spreads throughout all body parts to make a unified connected. That desire of the body draws the Shechina to dwell in that person, and the Holy One Blessed be He has a share in this connection.
When the Torah says ‘Take contribution to YHVH’ it tells us that the contribution is our opportunity to elevate ourselves and draw the Light of YHVH. The word for contribution is ‘תרומה,’, ‘Teruma’ that reveals the type of connection we do. The first four letters ‘תרום’ means ‘elevate’ and the last letter ‘ה’ H represents the Shechina in Malchut that we elevate to the ‘ה’ H of Binah where the light comes to the world.

It’s crucial for us to keep the YHVH name in our mind at all times. The Holy Ari recommends having the YHVH name with the special nikud (vowels) as below. Download the PDF, print it, frame it and place at home in a good clean place, away from unclean rooms.

It’s an important connection to make blessings on anything that gives us pleasures in this world. When you don’t know what of how to bless then have a consciousness of appreciations and awareness that everything comes from YHVH.

The Torah teaches us that giving is actually receiving. When we give from our work in this world, we create elevation and receive Light that would manifest in what we need because God knows better what is good for us. It is essential to give to maintain channels of Light because it rewards you with Light. The root of the word for giving ‘נתינה’ is ‘נתן.’ It is a palindrome (a word that reads the same backward as forwarding). When we look for other palindrome words in Hebrew like father ‘אבא’, Mother ‘אמא,’ Sun ‘שמש,’ we understand the spiritual importance of it. Giving is always receiving because giving from the heart is automatically connect with receiving. We should be careful not to have a consciousness of desire to receive when we are giving. The key is to give because we understand the importance of giving and that we follow the Torah in giving from the heart.
