Zohar Pekudei
#44
Exodus 39:32
“Thus all the work of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting was completed, and the sons of Israel did according to all that YHVH had commanded Moses; so they did.”
The Hebrew verse is written in a way that implies that the work of building the Tabernacle was done by itself. The Zohar reveals that as the workers start a specific task, it was completed by itself.
#45
Similarly, heaven and earth were completed when it first commanded.
Genesis 2:1
“Thus the heavens and the earth were completed, and all their hosts.”
The verse that follows raises the question; why it says that the work was completed on the Seventh Day?
Genesis 2:2
“On the seventh day God completed His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done.”
The Zohar explains that even though the work of the six days completed, on the seventh day God gave its creation the force to exist.
Lesson;
The work on the Tabernacle was Holy. The worker, Bezalel, had pure consciousness and his thoughts manifested into the material that formed itself according to the original thoughts God planted in his mind. The thoughts of the Creator channeled through the pure workers and manifested into the different elements that constructed the Tabernacle.
Exodus 31:2-5
“See, I have called by name Bezalel, the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah. “I have filled him with the Spirit of God in wisdom (Chokmah), in understanding (Binah), in knowledge (Daat), and in all kinds of craftsmanship, to think thoughts to make in gold, in silver, and in bronze, and in the cutting of stones for settings, and in the carving of wood, that he may work in all kinds of craftsmanship.”
God (YHVH) bestowed on Bezalel Wisdom, understanding and knowledge that are the connections to the sefirot of Chokmah, Binah and Daat. Bezalel also received the power to manifest thoughts into matter forming the designs God wanted it to be.
We don’t have the gift Bezalel received for his adherence to the path of God. His name בצלאל means ‘in the shadow of God.’ Bezalel did everything as instructed by God and he merited to have the gift of manifesting thoughts into matter.
Rabbi Shimon and other great Kabbalists had mind over matter capabilities because they were connected to the Torah with love in all their beings.
We may not have the level of adherence of purity to have mind over matter, but we can reach higher levels of support from YHVH as we follow the ways of the Torah.
When we start a positive action and include God in our consciousness, we have better spiritual support and able to complete the activity as desired.
Shabbat is the day that brings the Light and the power to manifest into the entire week. We rest from work and open ourselves to receive the Light of Binah that is revealed on Shabbat.
Shabbat is the best time to study Zohar and build a larger vessel with light for the following week. It may not bring us mind over matter, but it would definitely help us do better during the weekdays.
Don’t miss Zohar study on Shabbat.
