Zohar Tzav
#71
The wise Torah scholar should regard himself in comparison against other Torah students. From the light aspects of Nefesh, Ruach, and Neshamah. From the point of the body parts and the side of the Nefesh, Ruach, and Neshama of the beast level, he should compare himself against all the regular people of the world.
The sages of the Mishna (Talmud) taught us that a person should see himself as if the whole world depends on him. He should meditate with all the levels of his soul to make sacrifices together with all people of the world. The Holy One Blessed be He, put together every positive thought and action.
Psalms 36:7
“צִדְקָתְךָ כְּהַרְרֵי אֵל מִשְׁפָּטֶךָ תְּהוֹם רַבָּה אָדָם וּבְהֵמָה תוֹשִׁיעַ יְהוָה.”
“Your righteousness is like the mountains of God; Your judgments are like a great deep. O YHVH, You preserve man and beast.”
The Tannaim, who were the sages of the Mishnah were part of the study that Moses just brought. Their souls came down to listen to these revelations. They said unanimously to Moses; ‘You are the ‘Faithful Shepherd’ that has the permission to made meditation for all Israel because you encompass all their souls and that is why God sent you to be among them.

Leviticus 6:2
“צַו אֶת אַהֲרֹן וְאֶת בָּנָיו לֵאמֹר זֹאת תּוֹרַת הָעֹלָה הִוא הָעֹלָה עַל מוֹקְדָה עַל הַמִּזְבֵּחַ כָּל הַלַּיְלָה עַד הַבֹּקֶר וְאֵשׁ הַמִּזְבֵּחַ תּוּקַד בּוֹ”
“Command Aaron and his sons, ‘This is the law (Torah) of the burnt offering: The burnt offering is to remain on the hearth of the altar all night, until morning, and the fire must be kept burning on the altar.”
Rabbi Shiya explains that the Law is a reference to the Torah and the aspect of the Light/Shechina in Malchut. The ‘burnt offering’ is ‘negative/undesired thought’ that comes to a person and distract him from the path of truth. This thought should be burnt to stop the progress of the negative side.
‘the fire must be kept burning all night on the altar’ to purify the person from all negative aspects.
Lesson;
We live in a cycle of life and death. Day and Night. We move in cycles in a forward direction. Every breath is a tiny cycle of life and death. We breathe in life and when we release air its an aspect of death. When we go to sleep we are in almost death state and we wake up to a new life.
These cycles give us opportunities for renewals in the right direction. Before we start a new cycle of life we want to start clean and pure in order to have a better move forward.
The burning fire is the level of our consciousness that protects us by eliminating/burning any negative thought that invades our thoughts.
Every night before we go to sleep we have special prayers that help us cleanse/burn all impurities from the day that just passed and prepare us for the new life in the coming morning.
This prayer is called “The Bedtime Shema”. In it, we have a part that helps us be completely pure for the next day by accepting on ourselves the four types of death. Death is the ultimate soul cleansing process and each type of death cleanse different spiritual level for us.
The complete unification of light and vessel is represented by the sequence יא-הד-ונ-הי. This is the sequence of Amen that unifies upper and lower. Our sins and impurities sever the connection between the four pairs and to restore it we accept the aspect of death related to that level.
It’s important to understand the cycles in our lives and seek renewals on every step. We should forgive and forget people that hurt us because they are part of the past and we must move forward (for miracles…).
If you are not used to prayers especially before going to bed, just follow the consciousness above and you would be on a better state in the morning. Accepting death before going to sleep remove ‘weights’ from the soul and it can ascend to higher spiritual levels where it would be treated better and rewarded with new and good energy for the coming day.
Every month is a renewal and many choose to fast on Erev Rosh Chodesh to cleanse impurities before entering the new month.
Reincarnation is a major ‘reset/renewal’ and the most difficult cleansing process to go through. It’s better to burn all of our negativities during this lifetime to avoid the process after death.
