Zohar Metzora
Continued from previous DZ
#45
It says on Joseph; Psalms 105:18,19
“They afflicted his feet with fetters, His soul was laid in irons”
“Until the time that his words came to be, The word of YHVH tested him.”
Joseph was a prisoner with limited moves until he spoke the words of his prayers. They YHVH tested his words and sent him a king to release him.
“The king sent and released him, The ruler of peoples, and set him free.”
The Zohar close this part saying, “Then came the morning”. After the ‘night’ and darkness state that Joseph was in, the ‘morning’ came for Joseph. It was the aspect of starting a new chapter in life, full of Chassadim like the morning energy.

Rabbi Elazar quotes;
1 Samuel 25:29
“Should anyone rise up to pursue you and to seek your life, then the soul (Nefesh) of my lord shall be bound in the bundle of the living with YHVH your God; but the lives of your enemies He will sling out as from the hollow of a sling.”
“The soul of my lord” is an aspect of the soul in Malchut. When the morning comes, it’s time to connect with the Shechina so she can unify with her husband, Zeir Anpin. The sacred words of the prayers create the ‘bridge’ that elevates the Shechina from Malchut to Zeir Anpin.
The Tzadikim study the Torah at night and when the morning comes their prayers connect them to the Holy One Blessed be He and the Shechina. They are blessed for this work because they make the Father, Chokmah and the Mother, Binah happy for the unification.
Proverbs 23:25
“Let your father and your mother be glad, And let her rejoice who gave birth to you.”
Lesson;
The soul level of Nefesh is stuck in the dark level of Malchut that is an aspect of the night. Only when our prayers accepted by God, he sends his messengers to elevate us. Zeir Anpin is the aspect of the King that we connect to with our prayers. When the soul is released from the lower prison of Malchut, the soul can be freed to control its life and its sustenance as Joseph’s life demonstrated for us.
Without our prayers and studies of the sacred text of the Torah and the Zohar, we are ‘chained’ to a state of life with limited control.
