Holy Zohar text. Daily Zohar -467.

Tikkun 22 – 5

The heart is a part of the system that produces our spoken words. It is located between the ‘wings’ of the lungs and is the source of ‘fire’ that vibrates in the lungs and the vapor comes out as words.

The two chambers of the heart are the aspect of the two letters ה, H of the YHVH. The Vav is the sound of the words and the Yod is the essence of the words.

Psalms 33:6
“ בִּדְבַר יְהוָה, שָׁמַיִם נַעֲשׂוּ; וּבְרוּחַ פִּיו, כָּל-צְבָאָם”
“By the word of YHVH were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth”

Yod is numerically 10 and in it is the secret of עשרת הדברות, the Ten Utterances (aka Commandments) that came from the mouth of God.

The mouth is the Malchut of the head, which it the Keter of the body. Because of the relation between the heart, lungs and mouth in the head, the words we speak unify the body, which is the aspect of the 7 Sefirot and the head, the upper 3 Sefirot.

From the Mishna (Oral Torah) 3:8
לא אמר כלום, עד שיהא פיו וליבו שווין (משנה, תרומות ג ח)
“A person says nothing until his mouth and his heart are equals”

When we utter words, they should resonate with the spirit of the Torah, which is the heart לב, of the Israelite soul. There is no true manifestation when the words are not connected to the source of light and truth that comes from the Torah.

The common explanation of this saying is that a person should speak and be true to his heart. BUT an evil heart and words can also manifest from the impure system.

The Zohar relates the two sides of heart and mouth in equality to the First Commandment “I am YHVH your God … You shall have no other gods before me..”. The two expressions are one commandment and is the aspect of the two groups of precepts, “Do…” and “You shall not do…”.

The Zohar adds that the first two utterances, which are the roots of all the rest, came out as 70 voices for the 70 nations. With that God ‘killed’ Esau and Ishmael, the fathers of the 70 nations that didn’t want to accept the Torah.

The Torah is the connection to the Tree of Life and rejecting it puts a person into a terminal state, which is discounted from the Final Redemption and the Resurrection of the Dead.

The Children of Israel who have the Torah words in their heart and mouth are connected to the Tree of Life and it is said in Deuteronomy 4:4
“וְאַתֶּם, הַדְּבֵקִים, בַּיהוָה, אֱלֹהֵיכֶם–חַיִּים כֻּלְּכֶם, הַיּוֹם.”
“But you that did cleave unto YHVH your God are alive every one of you this day (הַיּוֹם = The Final Redemption).”
