Tikkun 22 – 22

(Continue of Daily Zohar #483)

Song of Songs 8:6
“שִׂימֵנִי כַחוֹתָם עַל-לִבֶּךָ, כַּחוֹתָם עַל-זְרוֹעֶךָ”
“Set me as a seal upon your heart, as a seal upon your arm;”

The Torah provided seals for us to use on ourselves. They are the Tefilin of the head and the hand that we use in our morning connection.

The Tefilin of the head is positioned on a specific point above the forehead. A leather strap holds it in place and goes around to the base of the neck and comes down from the right and the left side. One strap should be able to reach the heart or below it and the other one just below the lungs or lower than that.

These tools, like the seal of the king, make strong impressions on the man and let him carry the special morning light of Chessed for the whole day.

The Hand Tefilin, points to the heart and the strap binds the hand (usually the left) and restricts the movement of the middle finger (Binah level) to point inside.

The head Tefilin with 4 chambers is the aspect of the YHVH name. It creates impressions on the thought level. The hand part binds the upper to the lower and affects our actions.
