Tikkun 69 – 108

After the sin, God sent Adam out of the supernal realm of the Garden of Eden. Genesis 3:23 “Therefore YHVH God sent him forth from the Garden of Eden (Supernal level and state of immortality), to till the ground (Malchut) from whence he was taken”

God’s reasons are revealed in Genesis 3:22
“ וַיֹּאמֶר יְהוָה אֱלֹהִים, הֵן הָאָדָם הָיָה כְּאַחַד מִמֶּנּוּ, לָדַעַת, טוֹב וָרָע; וְעַתָּה פֶּן-יִשְׁלַח יָדוֹ, וְלָקַח גַּם מֵעֵץ הַחַיִּים, וְאָכַל, וָחַי לְעֹלָם”
“And the LORD God said: ‘Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil; and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever.’ ”

This is obvious; if the prince sins then he cannot stay in the palace and enjoy all of its benefits. He must be sent out. The key words are “וָחַי לְעֹלָם” “and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever.”

And 26 generations later;
Exodus 3:6
“וַיַּסְתֵּר מֹשֶׁה, פָּנָיו, כִּי יָרֵא, מֵהַבִּיט אֶל-הָאֱלֹהִים”
“And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God.”

Moses’s souls who came from Abel that carries the Tikkun of his father, Adam, was aware of his first sin and couldn’t see God when he met with him for the first time at the event of the ‘burning bush’ (Genesis 3:10) “I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.’”

The Zohar tells us that when the thought of connecting to the negative side came into Adam’s mind, the light of immortality from Keter left him. It was a significant part of him and now it was gone. That is why Moses asked God in Exodus 33:18 “ וַיֹּאמַר: הַרְאֵנִי נָא, אֶת-כְּבֹדֶךָ.”, “And he said: ‘Show me, I pray Thee, Thy glory ”. He wanted to reconnect to the supernal light but God answered. (Ex. 33:20.) “ וַיֹּאמֶר, לֹא תוּכַל לִרְאֹת אֶת-פָּנָי: כִּי לֹא-יִרְאַנִי הָאָדָם, וָחָי” , “And He said: ‘Thou canst not see My face, for man shall not see Me and live.’”.

The common explanation of this verse is in an opposite form. If a person sees God then he dies. The Zohar explains that the meaning of these words is; if a person merits to see God, he would live for ever.

If God were to allow Moses see his ‘face’, meaning the upper and concealed levels, then he could’ve connected us back to immortality.

The only connection we have now to immortality is the Zohar that carries the teaching brought to us down from Mount Sinai and taught to Rabbi Shimon. This is the only tool that reveals the deeper secrets of the Torah that is the Tree of Life for those who delve in it.

Every Zohar study (wherever you take it, on the Daily Zohar, other websites or in your community classroom) adds another light into your soul.
