    • info<p><b>Rabbi Levi Yitzchok of Berditchev</b> (1740–1809 in Berdychiv), also known as the <b>Berdichever</b>, was a Hasidic leader. He was the rabbi of Ryczywół, Żelechów, Pinskand Berdychiv, for which he is best known. He was one of the main disciples of the Maggid of Mezritch, and of his disciple Rabbi Shmelke of Nikolsburg, whom he succeeded as rabbi of Ryczywół.</p> <p>Reb Levi Yitzchok was known as the "defense attorney" for the Jewish people, because he would intercede on their behalf before God. Known for his compassion for every Jew, he was one of the most beloved leaders of Eastern European Jewry. He authored the Hasidic classic <i>Kedushas Levi</i>, which is a commentary on many Jewish religious books and laws, and is arranged according to the weekly Torah portion. He is considered by some to be the founder of Hasidism in central Poland.</p> <p>Rabbi Levi Yitzchok was known to have a very close relationship with the famous Rabbi Schneur Zalman of Liadi, the first Chabad Rebbe.</p> <p>Rabbi Nachman of Breslov called him the <i>Peér</i> (glory) of Israel.</p> <p>Rabbi Levi Yitzchok composed some popular Hasidic religious folk songs, including <i>A Dude'le</i> and "The Kaddish of Rebbe Levi Yitzchok (<i>A din Toyre mit Gott</i>)." The Yiddish prayer "God of Abraham" which many Jewish women recite at the close of the Sabbath is erroneously attributed to him.</p> <p><img src="https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/2/2a/LYberdichev.jpg/340px-LYberdichev.jpg" /></p> <p>He died on the 25th of Tishrei, 5570 (1809) and is buried in the old Jewish cemetery in Berdychiv, Ukraine, then under the control of the Russian Empire.</p> <p>He had three sons. The oldest one, Maier, died at a young age. The second one, Israel, succeeded his father as leader of the Hasidic movement. One of Rabbi Levi Yitzchok's grandsons married the daughter of Dovber Schneuri, the Second of the Chabad Rebbe's and the first Chabad Rebbe to live in Lubavitch.</p> <p><strong>May the merit of the tzadik Rabbi</strong> <b>Levi Yitzchok of Berditchev protect us all.       • text<p style="text-align:right">רבי <strong>לוי יצחק מברדיצ'ב</strong> (ה'ת"ק, 1740 - כ"ה בתשרי ה'תק"ע, 5 באוקטובר 1809) מגדולי האדמו"רים החסידיים, מחבר הספר קדושת לוי. ידוע בכינויו <strong>סנגורם של ישראל</strong></p> <h3 style="text-align:right">תולדות חייו</h3> <p style="text-align:right">רבי לוי יצחק נולד בשנת ה'ת"ק לרבי מאיר (שהיה אב"ד זמושץ') ושרה-סאשה רוסקוב בהוסקוב. היה ידוע בצעירותו בכינוי העילוי מירופלב. נישא לפערל, בתו של הרב ישראל פרץ מלברטוב (נכדו של רבי יצחק מאיר תאומים-פרנקל ראב"ד ז'ולקווה בנו של רבי יונה תאומים-פרנקל) וכשנפטרה הייתה בת יותר ממאה שנה. אחר חתונתו נסע למגיד ממעזריטש אצלו למד כמה שנים.</p> <p style="text-align:right">בשנים 1761 עד 1765 כיהן כרב ברוטשוול, מ-1765 רב בז'לחוב. ב-1776 עבר לפינסק, שם כיהן כרב וראש ישיבה. בשנת 1785 הודח ממשרתו בפינסק, עקב חתימת ראשי הקהל על החרם נגד החסידים, ועבר לעיר ברדיצ'ב שבאוקראינה, שם</p> <p style="text-align:right">ייסד קהילה חסידית בה כיהן כרב עד יום פטירתו.</p> <p style="text-align:right"><img src="https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/2/2a/LYberdichev.jpg/340px-LYberdichev.jpg" /><strong>חתימתו</strong> </p> <p style="text-align:right">רבי <strong> לוי יצחק התפרסם כמי שנהג ללמד זכות על כל יהודי, גם על חוטאים ופושעים, כפי שמתארים סיפורי חסידים רבים. מיוחסת לו תחינה מפורסמת למוצאי שבת שפותחת במילים "גאט פון אברהם", אך היא קדומה בהרבה לזמנו ואולי מדובר בגרסה שלו לתחינה המקורית</strong>.</p> <p style="text-align:right">.נפטר בכ"ה בתשרי ה'תק"ע. מקום קבורתו בעיר ברדיצ'ב מושך אליו מתפללים  רבים.</p> <p style="text-align:right"><strong>זכותו תגן עלינו ועל כל ישראל. אמן</strong></p> <h2 style="text-align:right"> </h2>

Fue el rabino de Ryczywół, Żelechów, Pinsk y Berdýchiv, lugar por el cual es conocido. Fue uno de los principales discípulos del Maggid de Mezritch, y de su discípulo el rabino Shmelke de Nikolsburg, a quien sucedió como rabino de Ryczywół.</p> <p><br /> El rabino Levi Yitzchok fue conocido como el abogado defensor del pueblo judío, porque se creía que él podía interceder en su nombre ante Dios. El rabino fue conocido por su compasión por cada judío, fue por lo tanto uno de los líderes más queridos de los judíos asquenazíes de Europa oriental. El rebe de Berdýchiv, fue el autor del clásico jasídico Kedushas Levi,3​esta obra es un comentario sobre varios libros religiosos judíos, y sobre diversas leyes rabínicas.       • text<p>Levi Yitzhok (Derbaremdiker) de Berditchev (yiddish : לוי יצחק בערדיטשעווער ; hébreu : לוי יצחק מברדיצ'ב) est un maître hassidique du xviiie siècle (Goussakov (en polonais, Hussaków, Voïvodie ruthène, Galicie) 1740 - Berditchev 5 octobre 1809). <br /> Disciple de Dov Baer de Mezeritch, il est l’un des rabbins les plus populaires de l’histoire du hassidisme et le sujet de nombreux contes et histoires qui font l’éloge de sa ferveur dans la prière et dans la défense des Juifs allant parfois jusqu’à la révolte théologique et lui valant le surnom d’« amant » ou « intercesseur d’Israël ». <br /> Une partie importante de son enseignement est publiée à titre posthume en deux tomes dans le Kedoushat Levi. Il est aussi l’auteur de classiques du répertoire hassidique comme Dou-dou ou A din Toyre mit Gott. </p> <h3><br /> Élément biographiques </h3> <p>Jeunes années et formation <br /> Levi Yitzhok de Berditchev naît en 1740 dans une famille d'éminents rabbins. <br /> Son père Meir est le rabbin de Goussakov, en Galicie. <br /> Sa mère Saisha Deborah est en famille avec le rabbin Shmouel Eliezer HaLevi Aidells (Le MaarSh'a). <br /> Son père s'occupe de son instruction, et l'envoie se perfectionner à Jarosław, où il se fait connaitre comme עילוי (prodige) <br /> Il épouse Perla, la fille du philanthrope Israël Perezt qui gère les biens du prince qui règne sur la ville. <br /> Il s'installe auprès de son beau-père à Lubartów, surnommée la petite Jérusalem en raison du grand nombre de savants qui y réside. <br /> Il trouve de nombreux partenaires d'étude, notamment le rabbin Yosseph Teomim, auteur du Peri Megadim avec qui il étudie la Thora exotérique et ésotérique et ne tarde pas à se faire un nom. <br /> Malgré l'opposition de sa famille et belle-famille, il fait connaissance du rabbin Shmouel Shmelke Horowitz rabbin de Ryczywół, ville située à quatre-vingt km de Lubartów,avec qui il étudie. <br /> À la demande du rabbin Shmelke, ils voyagent ensemble chez le Maggid de Mezeritch. <br /> Levi Yitzhok devient un partisan convaincu du Maguid et un de ses disciples les plus prééminents. <br /> Pendant qu'il étudie auprès du Maguid son beau-père s'endette et il risque d'être emprisonné. <br /> Perla, la femme de Levi Yitzchok promet au prince-prêteur de le rembourser dans les deux ans, à défaut de quoi elle abandonnerait le Judaïsme pour le Christianisme. <br /> Quand le rabbin Lévi Yitshok apprend cette nouvelle, il est horrifié. Il quitte le Maguid et fait le tour des villes avoisinante afin de ramasser l'argent nécessaire pour racheter la dette de son beau-père. </p> <h3>Rabbin </h3> <p>Le rabbin Levi Yitshok est un des rares rabbins hassidiques à être également rabbin en matière de halakha. <br /> Lorsque le rabbin Shmouel Shmelke Horowitz est appelé au rabbinat de Nikelsbourg, le rabbin Levi Yitshok le remplace de 1761 à 1765. <br /> Sa vie est rendue difficile par les opposants locaux du hassidisme. <br /> Le jeune rabbin estime sa vie en danger et s'échappe de la ville à pied, le jour d'Hoshanna Rabba (le dernier jour de Souccot), avec seulement un Loulav et Etrog à la main. <br /> En 1765 il est nommé rabbin et chef du Collège rabbinique de Pinsk. <br /> La ville de Pinsk est un grand centre rabbinique et le hassidisme y est déjà implanté par le rabbin Aaron Le Grand de Karlin. <br /> Jusqu'à l'arrivée du rabbin Levi Yitzchok, le hassidisme est enseigné secrètement. Il l'enseigne publiquement. Après le Cherem du Gaon de Vilna, il rencontre une forte opposition de la part des Mitnaggedim et est forcé de démissionner de son poste. <br /> Il est nommé rabbin de Żelechów. L'histoire se répète. </p> <h3>Rabbin à Berditchev </h3> <p>En 1785, Levi Yitzchok arrive à Berditchev. Il y dirigera la communauté jusqu'à sa mort. <br /> À Berditchev, Levi Yitzchok trouve enfin la sérénité. Il y établit sa cour hassidique, et des milliers de disciples viendront, parfois de loin, pour entendre son enseignement. <br /> Berditchev, qui était un grand centre du judaïsme, était aussi influencé par le Mouvement des Lumières, mouvement marqué par une philosophie anti-religieuse. <br /> Malgré les difficultés rencontrées dans cette ville peu accueillante, Rabbi Levi Yitzchok était déterminé à y rester pour lutter contre le climat anti-religieux, et plaider pour son peuple. À l'époque, ce choix de vivre parmi des juifs a-religieux, voire anti-religieux, était sans précédent. <br /> Rabbi Levi Yitzchok décède le 5 octobre 1809 et il est enterré dans la ville de Berditchev.
