Zohar Mishpatim 6
The secrets of Kabbalah were given to Moses on Mount Sinai as the oral Torah. After the destruction of the Holy Temple the risk of losing it was so great that Rabbi Shimon went into hiding, dedicating his life to revealing it. His work and sacrifice merited him the soul of Moses, bringing the oral Torah to the world to complement the written Torah.
Moses ran into the desert away from Pharaoh that wanted to kill him. He found God and the mission of redeeming the Israelites from the bondage of Egypt. Rabbi Shimon ran to the cave away from the emperor that wanted to kill him and he found the Zohar.
Moses revealed to Rabbi Shimon the secrets of the Zohar making it the tool that will pave the way for Mashiach to come to this world. The Zohar begins with the word בריש, meaning “in the head”,”in the top” or “in the beginning”. It is also the initials of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai This is like a statement that the soul of Rabbi Shimon and Moses are in the Zohar.
The Torah didn’t tell us where Moses was buried but rabbi Shimon revealed this secret to us when he buried himself in the ground while studying the Torah with Moses and Elijah.
The souls of the Israelites that left Egypt are back in this world for their final corrections and to experience the Final Redemption. We are these souls and should make special efforts to connect to the Zohar and stay away from the Erev Rav. They are everywhere and among us, waiting to ‘suck’ our energy and lose the Light again. They pretend to be Kabbalah students and more. The Zohar tells us that in the final generations many rabbis will lead the people in the wrong path. They will look for money and control using the name of God for their own material benefits.
Being good gives no special merits to a person. Good is a basic requirement and is the baseline for improving the soul. That is done by studying Torah (Moses) through the Zohar (Rabbi Shimon) to reveal Light that affects the whole world.
