Holy Zohar text. Daily Zohar -46.

To be in love with someone is to be as one without any dependencies. That is what make the spiritual connection and synergy of the two parts.

When love depend on some kind of object then when this object is lost, love is gone.
Love should be the principal connection not a result of the dependencies.

To love God is to nullify all the selfish and material desires. That would create affinity with the essence of the Creator and creation, connect us to the central column and Chessed, loving kindness energy and achieve Love אהבה and Awe יראה , which is a connection to the flow of energy from above to below.
