Daily Zohar # 3739 – Haazinu – Drawing healing Light from the Torah
Hebrew translation:
.
Zohar Haazinu
#259
He said, in the book with the secrets of Balaam, I found some of the angels’ names that Balak sent to Balaam. They were not in proper order, but I found different kinds of medicine founded on the Torah and its concealed secrets. They were written with devotion, prayers, and requests to the HolyOne Blessed be He.
And if you say that he would do medicine using the words of the Torah, or in the secrets of the Torah, God forbid, because it is forbidden to do so. Still, he would say the secrets of the Torah, and according to that secret, he would invent medicine, which I have never seen before.
I said Blessed is the Merciful, who has made people wise, from the wisdom above.
#260
And from the words of Balaam, I took, and saw in them, that there was no one in a world as wise in sorcery as he.
I said, Blessed is the Merciful One who has eliminated sorcery from the world, so people will not err and believe in sorcerers instead of fearing the Holy One Blessed be He, His name will be exalted and blessed, Amen. Blessed be God forever. Amen and Amen.
Lesson;
In older times, spiritual energy and forces were easily available to people. Since the negative forces are closer to the physical dimension, people would have almost instant fulfillment and pleasures from these forces. It was so strong that even some of the kings of Israel were connected to these forces.
One of the sages of the Talmud (Elisha ben Avoya) turned to idol worshipping. Rabbi Meir Baal Haness worked on him to repent. Elisha died while crying with regrets about choosing the wrong path. His soul was elevated later by Rabbi Meir.
Later, one of the great Tzadikim asked how such a sage could follow idol worship. On the same night, Elisha be Avoya came to him and told him that he would run toward idol worship if he were to live in his time.
Note: This is the last paragraph of Zohar Haazinu. I’ll make a PDF with all the studies of Zohar Haazinu and share it by next week.
This Friday, the last one of the year before Rosh Hashanah, would be the best day to make a ** Donation, especially if you didn’t donate in the past week. There would be a lot of merits when giving at this time,
** Your donation doesn’t have to be given to the same place every week. You can alternate or split your donation among those who benefit you spiritually.
