3. בֹּא וּרְאֵה, (במדבר ח) זֹאת אֲשֶׁר לַלְוִיִּם, וְלֹא וְזֹאת. שֶׁהֲרֵי מִצַּד הַדִּין (הַקָּשֶׁה) הֵם בָּאִים, וְלֹא מִצַּד הָרַחֲמִים. אָמַר רַבִּי יְהוּדָה, וַהֲרֵי כָּתוּב (במדבר ד) וְזֹאת עֲשׂוּ לָהֶם וְחָיוּ. וְזֶה בַּלְוִיִּם נֶאֱמַר, וְאַתָּה אָמַרְתָּ זֹאת, וְלֹא וְזֹאת. אָמַר לוֹ, וַדַּאי כָּךְ זֶה, וְהַפָּסוּק מוֹכִיחַ. מִי שֶׁאוֹחֵז סַם הַמָּוֶת, אִם לֹא יְעָרֵב בּוֹ סַם הַחַיִּים, הֲרֵי וַדַּאי יָמוּת. וְעַל זֶה, וְזֹאת עֲשׂוּ לָהֶם וְחָיוּ וְלֹא יָמֻתוּ, מִשּׁוּם שֶׁסַּם הַחַיִּים מְעֹרָב אִתּוֹ. וְזֹאת עֲשׂוּ וְחָיוּ וְלֹא יָמֻתוּ, וַדַּאי וְזֹאת צָרִיךְ לָהֶם, וְלֹא זֹאת. מִשּׁוּם כָּךְ וְזֹאת הַתּוֹרָה מַמָּשׁ, בְּיִחוּד אֶחָד, בְּיִחוּד שָׁלֵם, כְּלַל שֶׁל זָכָר וּנְקֵבָה. ו”ה. זֹאת – ה’ בִּלְבַדָּהּ, וְעַל זֶה זֹאת חֻקַּת הַתּוֹרָה.
4. רַבִּי שִׁמְעוֹן וְרַבִּי אַבָּא וְרַבִּי אֶלְעָזָר וְרַבִּי יִצְחָק הָיוּ מְצוּיִים בְּבֵית רַבִּי פִּנְחָס בֶּן יָאִיר. אָמַר רַבִּי פִּנְחָס לְרַבִּי שִׁמְעוֹן, בְּבַקָּשָׁה מִמְּךָ, אַתָּה שֶׁעוֹמְדִים עָלֶיךָ לְמַעְלָה וּדְבָרֶיךָ בְּגָלוּי, מַה שֶּׁלֹּא נִתְּנָה רְשׁוּת לְאָדָם אַחֵר, בְּפָרָשָׁה זוֹ אֱמֹר דָּבָר חָדָשׁ. אָמַר לוֹ, וּמַהוּ? אָמַר לוֹ, זֹאת חֻקַּת הַתּוֹרָה. אָמַר לוֹ, הִנֵּה שְׁאָר הַחֲבֵרִים יֹאמְרוּ. אָמַר לְרַבִּי אֶלְעָזָר בְּנוֹ, אֶלְעָזָר עֲמֹד בְּעָמְדְּךָ, וֶאֱמֹר דָּבָר אֶחָד בְּפָרָשָׁה זוֹ, וְהַחֲבֵרִים יֹאמְרוּ אַחֲרֶיךָ.

Zohar Chukat

Rabbi Shimon, rabbi Aba, rabbi Elazar and rabbi Yitzchak were in the house of rabbi Pinchas ben Yair, the father-in-law of rabbi Shimon.
Rabbi Pinchas praised rabbi Shimon and told him that he was given elevation from above and he had the permission and the ability to reveal secrets that no other person was allowed to do.
He asked rabbi Shimon to reveal to them something new from the Torah portion of Chukat. Rabbi Shimon asked his son, rabbi Elazar, to raise to his own spiritual level and do a study from the Torah portion, then let the other friends bring their own studies.

If Rabbi Shimon were to accept and follow the request, he would have allowed his ego to be used but he didn’t have ego and immediately passed the honorable request to his son and his students.

Sharing is a similar act. When we share from what we have we become greater channels for the Light and our spiritual level is elevated.
