Daily Zohar 4139

Zohar Vayigash

#134
When the Holy One, Blessed be He, brought judgment on Egypt, every judgment he made was in exactly the same way as the chariots of the Sitra Achra do. They kill and take souls, and so did the Holy One, Blessed be He, in the exact same way as it is written;
Exodus 13:15
“And it came to pass, when Pharaoh was stubborn about letting us go, that YHVH killed all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both the firstborn of man and the firstborn of beast. Therefore I sacrifice to YHVH all males that open the womb, but all the firstborn of my sons I redeem.’”
Although the ways of the Holy One, Blessed be He, is mercy, everything that he did in all of Egypt was exactly the same way as the other side, as it is written, “I have compared you to a mare in the chariot of Pharaoh” (Songs 1:9), to kill and take the souls of men as the chariots of Pharaoh that are the Sitra Achra. It is written, “‘For I will pass through the land of Egypt on that night, and will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt” (Exodus 12:12). In the future, Hashem will kill the evil, and not a messenger, as it is written;
Isaiah 63:1
“Who is this who comes from Edom, With dyed garments from Bozrah, This One who is glorious in His apparel, Traveling in the greatness of His strength?— “I who speak in righteousness, mighty to save.”

Genesis 47:27
“So Israel dwelt in the land of Egypt, in the country of Goshen; and they had possessions there and prospered and multiplied exceedingly.”
Israel dwelt in the land of Goshen, meaning as an eternal possession because it was proper for them to hold on to it and not for the Egyptians. They prospered and multiplied greatly because they had no sorrow and enjoyed the bounties of kings as long as the tribes were alive, and for that reason, they prospered and multiplied greatly.
