Daily Zohar # 4223 – Tazria – Clean your house, break it down
Daily Zohar 4223

Zohar Tazria
Continued from previous DZ
#151
Moreover, whoever builds, and his desire is not for holiness, because he dedicates his house to the other side, to defile it, the spirit of impurity dwells in it, and that person does not leave the world until he is punished in that house, and whoever lives in it could be harmed, because the spirit of impurity dwells in that home, and harms those who are in it.
#152
How do we know if the builder drew the spirit of impurity into the house?. If the person who built it, or the members of his household, were harmed in that house, in their body or in monetary damages, and also if two others who lived in the house after the builder were damaged, then the person better run away to the mountain, or better live in a dirt cave and not live in that house.
#153
For this reason, the Holy One, Blessed be He, had mercy on Israel because they did not know anything about all the houses that they found in the land, whether there was a spirit of impurity there or not, and the Holy One, Blessed be He said, you do not know, but I know, and I will mark them with illness. The illness sitting in the house is the other side. The affliction I sent into the house would be removed from the world and, with it, the other side. Then,
Leviticus 14:45
“And he shall break down the house, its stones, its timber, and all the plaster of the house, and he shall carry them outside the city to an unclean place.”
He asks, since the affliction on the house caused the other side to leave it, what’s the point of breaking down the house after the other side has already left? He replies that as long as that building stands, the other side can return to it.
Lesson;
The house is the aspect of our vessel. If we have some impurity, it’s hard for us to notice, but Hashem sees all and sends a challenge so we can examine
ourselves and notice what is needed to be removed. We should accept and evaluate the challenges facing us in order to identify the negativity in us that we need to remove.
When we connect to the pure system, we must do it with complete dedication and remove all bad habits, which is the aspect of breaking down the house. If we leave ‘room’ with our ‘junk,’ the other side can return quickly to its familiar environment.
We don’t look back to our negative past because it may catch up with us. We always move forward toward and with the Light.
