For then is the time to have children, as you say: “כַּחִצִּים בְּיַד גִּבּוֹר כֵּן בְּנֵי הַנְּעוּרִים”, “Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, so are the children of one’s youth” (Psalms 127:4). Because then he can teach them the ways of the Holy One, blessed be He, and he will have a good reward in the world to come. As it is written: “אַשְׁרֵי הַגֶּבֶר”, “Happy is the man” (Psalms 127:5), etc. “לֹא יֵבֹשׁוּ כִּי יְדַבְּרוּ אֶת אוֹיְבִים בַּשָּׁעַר”, “they will not be ashamed when the enemies speak at the gate” (Psalms 127:5). They will not be ashamed in the world of truth (עולם האמת), at the time when the accusers come to prosecute him, for there is no better reward in that world than the reward of one who teaches his son the fear (awe) of YHVH in the ways of the Torah.

Come and see what is said about Abraham. As it is
written: “כִּי יְדַעְתִּיו לְמַעַן”, “For I have known him, because” (Genesis 18:19), etc. And therefore that merit stood for him in that world against all the accusers.
Notes:
God’s intimate knowledge of Abraham’s righteousness provides eternal merit, shielding him from accusers in the world to come. This reflects Abraham’s complete faith, sustaining divine favor across generations.
