Tikkun 21 – 111
(Continuing previous Daily Zohar subject)
Jonah 1:13
“ וַיַּחְתְּרוּ הָאֲנָשִׁים, לְהָשִׁיב אֶל-הַיַּבָּשָׁה–וְלֹא יָכֹלוּ: כִּי הַיָּם, הוֹלֵךְ וְסֹעֵר עֲלֵיהֶם.”
“The men rowed hard to bring it to the land; but they could not; for the sea grew more and more tempestuous against them.”
When we experience chaos, we can try to fix it ourselves but while we are in the midst of judgment process we can only draw more judgments. The people on the ship tried to go back to the state/land before the sea turned on them but it didn’t help.
The only way to go above physical matters is by connecting to the light.
The ship’s captain then told Jonah to make a connection to his Light.
Jonah 1:6
“וַיִּקְרַב אֵלָיו רַב הַחֹבֵל, וַיֹּאמֶר לוֹ מַה-לְּךָ נִרְדָּם; קוּם, קְרָא אֶל-אֱלֹהֶיךָ–אוּלַי יִתְעַשֵּׁת הָאֱלֹהִים לָנוּ, וְלֹא נֹאבֵד”
“So the shipmaster came to him, and said unto him: Why are you sleeping? Arise, call upon your God, so he will restore everything to normal and we will not perish.”
The Zohar refers to the Talmud, tractate ‘Avot’, where it is said “look at three things and you will not come to a point of disconnection from the light”. The three things are; look where you came from, look where you are going and look to the future when you will stand in front of the Creator that will ‘judge’ your soul.
The idea behind this teaching is to understand that the only thing that is important in life is the soul.
- Our soul came into a matter and we grew up from a single cell that represents our desire for the self.
- Our body is temporary and will end up with no existence in this world.
- Our soul is immortal and our actions will determine its level of purity. When the soul leaves the body it will go through a painful process of cleansing that will remove negativity gathered in this world.

Zion
i assume that you are considering the bodies that will be returned to us in the revival of the dead to be different than the bodies we have now
When resurrected the old body that represent the tikkun process will come alive and then as the light is increasing it appearance in the world, the ‘flawed’ body will be transformed to its pure state while giving us the opportunity to see the result of our tikkun on the body. The body will then be closer to the light and won’t experience any illness or negativity.
Dear Zion , you say in point 3 : “when the soul leaves the body…….it goes through a painful process of cleansing .. . As long as we have a body we can experience pain . How is that when we have no body anymore ? Is it for the soul like a total amputation maybe ? Just as the phantom pain people experience when a part of the body is amputated ?
“a painful process of clensing that will remove negativity gathered in this world” – so by this cleansing the dead body and the soul are cleansed ? and if finished prepared for the resurrection ?
maybe yuo can explain a bit more
thanks

Dear Moshe,
The Zohar explains that the angel of death comes with a sword to separate the soul from the body. It is a spiritual sword but the soul feels it similar to the feeling of amputated limb. It feels like it is there spiritually but not physically.
It takes 30 days for the soul to get rid of this feeling and ascend to a higher level in the process.

Feel free to ask follow up questions on RabbiShimon.com or on DailyZohar.com.
I have a question for you. The Torah says,”Do not curse deaf.” (Lev. 19:14). Does this verse mean that Heaven courts will not curse or judge for my actions on earth? I am deaf Noahide. Can I as deaf person read the daily Zohar?
Dear Tom,
It is a good question and has deep meaning in the Torah.
Yuo can scan and read the Zohar as much as your soul desire. The eyes are the window to the soul and the Zohar can bring light to it.
Here is a short paragraph from an article I wrote on RabbiShimon.com to explain this;
I hope the day will come soon that you and all of us wil hear the sound of Mashiach.

Dear Zion Nephesh:
As you wrote:
“1. Our soul came into a matter and we grew up from a single cell that represents our desire for the self.
2. Our body is temporary and will end up with no existence in this world.
3. Our soul is immortal and our actions will determine its level of purity. When the soul leaves the body it will go through a painful process of cleansing that will remove negativity gathered in this world.”
To deal with this, you wrote:
“look where you came from, look where you are going and look to the future when you will stand in front of the Creator that will ‘judge’ your soul.
This cause and effect, if acted upon, will result in clear eyes, when we look to the future.

when we come back reincarnated what happens with all those pre reincarnated bodys if one going to be brough back to life
shalom chris
The law of conservation of energy says that energy can neither be created nor destroyed, it can only be transformed from one state to another.
Our body, which is the physical mater is energy patterns that is held together by the soul. The energy patterns, body cells etc. are shared throughout the history of the universe.
There is only one body, not countless ‘human bodies’ coming out of the ground. They were all disolved and ‘recycled’ into us and even the food we eat. Theoritically the apple that you may eat now shared atoms with brain of Einstein or the his cat…
The only ‘identities’ are the souls that will come back into ‘bodies’ in a transfomation process that will take away all negativity and reveal the inner and true light that we all share.
I hope this is clear enough. please do not hesitate to ask more questions.
THanks Zion
the reason i asked my first question is that i was under the impression that while the soul now and through eternity has primacy like you suggest above, during the ultimate revival of the dead, many maintain the body will have primacy over the soul
