Daily Zohar # 1810 – Emor – How to receive greater light
.

Zohar Emor
Leviticus 21:5
“’They shall not make any baldness on their heads, nor shave off the edges of their beards, nor make any cuts in their flesh.”
In the Torah scroll the last letter of the second word is the the letter H ה. When the reader reads it he pronounces it with the letter Vav ו as we see in the parenthesis above.
In the portion of Emor we read about the restrictions that the priest needs to follow in order to preserve his ability to channel light for the people. The restrictions are even greater on the high priest because he was anointed with the oil of God (see Leviticus 21:12).

Leviticus 21:10
“’The priest who is the highest among his brothers, on whose head the anointing oil has been poured and who has been consecrated to wear the garments, shall not uncover his head nor tear his clothes;”
The Zohar reveals that the letter H ה deals with the connection of the priest to Binah. We read the word as with the letter Vav ו because the Torah is at the level of Zeir Anpin and that is where the Light of Binah is received and channeled to Malchut by the work of the priest.
The vessel of the priest should be pure. Their skins should not have any marks or tattoos. They can not marry a divorced woman because her vessel was already used by another person. The priest’s seeds won’t manifest properly in that woman. The priests can not shave the hair of their heads because their hair is a tool to draw light to the lower levels.
Our own vessel should be as pure as possible when we want to receive light from the upper levels. The vessel determines the light it receives. We may not be able to be a high priest but we can definitely be able to work on purifying our vessels and receive greater light.
Psalms 133 has three verses and the main message is about the hair of Aaron the priest that draws energy of blessings. In addition to the Zohar, this Psalms is recommended for reading when praying for blessings.
