Zohar Mishpatim
#89
Righteous souls are invited by the Holy One Blessed be He, on Shabbat, Rosh Chodesh and Holidays to the Garden of Eden to enjoy a higher light. On the way up, they connect to the souls of converts and get ‘dressed’ with them as a decoration because of their value. When they reach the Garden of Eden, they get ‘undressed’/separated because each soul needs to be by itself.
#90
The ‘undressing’ from the converts’ souls don’t reduce the elevated state and pleasures of the souls because, in the Garden of Eden, the souls must stand without clothing.
Lesson;
The converts with the extra souls from the Garden of Eden are on a level that the righteous souls are happy to connect to and ‘travel’ together on the way up to the Garden of Eden. It helps them with the ascending process to heavens.
There’s a story about a Tzadik that used to ascend (his soul) to heavens during the silent prayers. The congregation was waiting until he comes back to continue with the prayers. One time he came back very quickly. When he was asked about the reason, he told them that a great Tzadik passes away on that day, and the path to the higher levels was clear so he didn’t have to struggle with the obstacles of the other-side. We learn from that about the value of connecting to righteous and elevated souls. The Zohar is the body for the soul of Rabbi Shimon, Moses, Elijah and the other righteous souls that are part of the Zohar studies.
When we study the Zohar, we connect to these souls that help us elevate our own souls.
King David opened Psalms with six verses that praise the people that choose the righteous path of YHVH and avoid the negative path. Associating yourself with the good always benefits us.
It’s good to read Psalms 1 when we are confused and need support to stay on the righteous path with the right environment and social group.
Psalms 1
1 Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, 2 but whose delight is in the law of YHVH, and who meditates on his law day and night. 3 That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers. 4 Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away. 5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous. 6 For YHVH watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.
