Zohar Acharei Mot
#65
The friends sit together in unity, and at the beginning, they look like warriors ready to kill each other, and after the ‘war’ they go back to love and brotherhood. The Holy One Blessed be He is happy with them and say;
Psalms 133:1
“הִנֵּה מַה טּוֹב וּמַה נָּעִים שֶׁבֶת אַחִים גַּם יָחַד”
“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brothers to dwell together in unity!”
God brings the Shechina to be with them and listen to their words and takes pleasure from what they do.
Malachi 3:16
“אָז נִדְבְּרוּ יִרְאֵי יְהוָה אִישׁ אֶל רֵעֵהוּ וַיַּקְשֵׁב יְהוָה וַיִּשְׁמָע וַיִּכָּתֵב סֵפֶר זִכָּרוֹן לְפָנָיו לְיִרְאֵי יְהוָה וּלְחֹשְׁבֵי שְׁמוֹ.”
“Then those who feared YHVH spoke to one another, and YHVH gave attention and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who fear YHVH and who esteem His name.”
Lesson;
The ‘warriors’ are those who study the Torah with their friends discussing their revelations with passion. The fight is to break the Klipa that conceal the secrets of the Torah. After that, they are back to love their partners in the study. YHVH ‘registers’ the studies of those who are seeking him and connect to his name.

Psalms 122:8
“לְמַעַן אַחַי וְרֵעָי אֲדַבְּרָה נָּא שָׁלוֹם בָּךְ.”
“For the sake of my brothers and my friends, I will now say, “May peace be within you.”
Rabbi Shimon tells the friends that were studying with love and brotherhood that they are always blessed to be together until the Holy One Blessed be He is joyous with them and call them ‘peace’ because their studies bring the light of peace to the world.
Lesson;
The Torah was made for us in a way that requires us to study every word and ‘dig’ its meaning and its Light. The best way to study Torah is with one or more people because we need to raise questions and discuss them. The Talmud is all about discussions by the sages about the way to understand the Torah. There are many arguments, opinions, and discussions among the sages about the ways of the Torah. At the end of a discussion, they come to ‘peace’ an agreement on how to understand the Torah and follow it. Everything in the Talmud follows the same method except for a tractate called ‘Ethics of the Fathers’. In this tractate, the sages advise us on how to conduct ourselves to achieve peace and light in life. None of the sages mentioned in this tractate argue about the teaching of ethics and moral behavior. We can call a tractate of peace.
In the Yeshivot of Torah, the students study with a partner. Their goal is to read the text and find questions first. These questions are called ‘קושיות’ ‘Kushiot.’ It comes from the word ‘קשה,’’Hard.’ We look for questions that are hard to answer. Then discuss it with the study partner until we get understanding. This process breaks the Klipa that blocks the understanding of the question and reveal the light comes from this study.
The sages of the Talmud discuss the verses of the Torah and how to apply it in our lives. The sages and great rabbis that came after them brought new questions and based their answers on the Talmud and the Torah.
While the Talmud teaches us on how to conduct ourselves to earn light by following the precepts, the Zohar goes deeper into the different levels of lights concealed in the Torah verses to enrich our lives without limits.
The Zohar above teaches us that God enjoys our studies and register them into our account to bring us the light of Peace.
