If you say that the plague of blood was only to cause them disgust, it was not so. When they drank the blood, it came into their intestines, and it burst and came up. Until Israel sold them water for money, then they drank water. Because of this, the first plague to hit them was blood.

Psalm 145:1
“תְּהִלָּה לְדָוִד אֲרוֹמִמְךָ אֱלוֹהַי הַמֶּלֶךְ וַאֲבָרֲכָה שִׁמְךָ לְעוֹלָם וָעֶד.”
“I will extol You, my God, O King, And I will bless Your name forever and ever.”
Rabbi Yitzchak quotes this verse and explains that King David expresses this psalm from his level of Malchut. By saying “My God,” David wanted to elevate the praises of Malchut and bring it to the highest light, which is Binah, and join them together, so Nalchut and Binah would be as one. For that reason, he said, “I will extol You, my God, O King….”

#134
All his days, King David made efforts to strengthen the throne that is Malchut and draw the Light of Binah to protect Malchut, meaning elevating Malchut to be one with Binah.
When King Solomon came, he found the world with a full moon, meaning that Malchut was raised to Binah and received all the Light needed to make her complete. Therefore, there was no longer a need to make efforts to illuminate Malchut.

Friday would be a good day to make a donation and ** Donation, to support the Daily Zohar projects, especially if you didn’t donate in the past week. Giving on Friday, which is an aspect of Yessod, expands the vessel for the Light and honor of Shabbat.
** Your donation doesn’t have to be given to the same place every week. You can alternate or split your donation among those who benefit you spiritually.
