Daily Zohar # 4257 – Emor – How to transfer sins

Zohar Emor

#245
Rabbi Yitzchak said, Woe to Esau’s people when they send this goat to the informer in charge of them. That is, Sam-el, the minister of Esau, for whom he came to praise Israel, and the Holy One, Blessed be He put all the sins on on the head of his people because it is written;
Psalm 101:7
“He who works deceit shall not dwell within my house; He who tells lies shall not continue in my presence.”
Rabbi Yehuda said if the Gentiles had known about this goat, they would not have let Israel be in the world for one day.
#246
All that day, the prosecutor is messing with that goat, and then the Holy One, Blessed be He, makes atonement for Israel and cleanses them from everything, and no prosecutor is found before him. Then he comes and praises Israel. Then God asked him, as it is said;
“And YHVH said to Satan, “From where do you come?” (Job 1:7), and he replies with the praise of Israel, and the prosecutor becomes an advocate, and then he goes.
#247
Then the Holy One, Blessed be He, asks the seventy ministers who surround his throne, which is the secret of the supernal court, have you seen this telltale, how he will always tell on my sons. There is one goat with him, with all the sins of Israel written on it, their abominations, and all the crimes they have made before me. He accepted all their sins upon himself. So they all agreed that all sins would be upon his people.
Lesson;
Before the scapegoat is sent to the desert, Aaron confesses all the sins of Israel. The scapegoat carries the sins to the desert and is accepted by the other side. This action transferred the sins to the other side, and Israel was cleansed.
Leviticus 16:21
“Aaron shall lay both his hands on the head of the live goat, confess over it all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions, concerning all their sins, putting them on the head of the goat, and shall send it away into the wilderness by the hand of a suitable man.”
