Daily Zohar # 4360 – Beresheet – The long fall after criticism
Daily Zohar 4360

#177
Another explanation for “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness.” The friends explain that the high-level angels said it. Rabbi Shimon asked them, since the angels knew what was and what was to be and they knew that man would sin, why did they want to make him?
#178
When the Shechina and the Holy One, Blessed be He, wanted to create man, the angels Aza and Azael criticized it, saying, “מָה אָדָם וַתֵּדָעֵהוּ?”, Why do you want to make man (Adam), and know that he will sin before you with his wife who is darkness?, Light is male. Female is left an aspect of the darkness of creation. At that time, the Shekinah said to them: you are going to fall with your adversary, as it is written;
Genesis 6:2
“that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose.”
They lusted after the women in this world and erred in them, and the Shechinah dropped them down from their holiness.
Lesson;
The female is an aspect of Left, desire, and darkness because she is a vessel that receives Light from the male, and when she does, she becomes a creative force in the world.
After the sin, Adam was for 130 years with Lil–th, the female of the other side. Because the two high angels doubted the creation of man, the Shechina cast them down after they lost their connection to the upper three sefirot.
