Daily Zohar # 5058 – Bo – Tell the miracles for his honor
Daily Zohar 5058

#181
Then strength and might were added to Him above. And Israel, through that telling, gives strength to their Master, like a king whose strength and might increase when they praise his might and thank him, and everyone fears him, and his honor rises above all. And for this reason, one must praise and tell this story, as we have learned.
In the same way, it is an obligation upon a person to always tell before the Holy One, blessed be He, and to publicize the miracle in all these miracles that He performed.
Notes:
This Zohar emphasizes the power of retelling the Exodus story (as in the Pesach Hagaddah). When Israel recounts the miracles, they add strength to God above, like praising a king increases his honor and fear. This act is an eternal obligation, strengthening divine might and publicizing God’s wonders.
#182
And if you say: Why is it an obligation to tell the miracles? Does not the Holy One, blessed be He, know everything — all that was and will be afterward? So why this public declaration before Him of what He did and He knew?
And he answers: Rather, certainly a person must publicize the miracle and tell before Him everything He did, because these words ascend, and all the heavenly entourage gathers and sees them, and they give thanks before the Holy One, blessed be He, and His honor rises upon them above and below.
Notes:
Retelling miracles causes words to ascend, gathering heavenly hosts to thank God and raise His honor above and below.
